Pontiac Bonneville Wont start and charge after i changed alternator

Check the wire from alternator to fuse box for a bad wire or a break in it. or corrosion on it. Battery cables loose or corroded. Is the battery ok!! check the main fuses in under hood fuse box. Good-Day! The charging wire goes to the fuse box first.

Your starter may be bad. Try hitting the starter. Use a long heavy screwdriver. Place it on the starter and wack it a good time with a hammer. If the brushes are bad this will make contact again. Try to start car. This may or may not work all of the time. Chances are your starter is bad and needs replaced.

Sounds like a electrical problem, either bad battery or starter is drawing to much amps.

May be weakening fuel pump. With enough age and miles the pump wears out and has an intermittent failure.

I would check the spark . Your local parts store has a spark tester that simply plugs in between the spark plug and plug wire ! See if the spark I constant and bright the tester lights up ! If intermittent than maybe the coil is failing on You ! Good luck !
