Transmission is in limp mode.
1. Check the control wire to the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) should send power out on the Light Green wire from pin 18 of the C4 connector to the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) at key on. If there is a problem in the relay circuits, solenoid circuits or pressure switch circuits, it will then remove the voltage from the Light Green wire to take power away from the transmission.
2. When the PCM requests the circuit to be energized by the TIPM, the PCM is monitoring the return voltage from the TIPM on pins 19 and 28 of the C4 connector.
Tech Tips:
The Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is a combination Power Distribution Center and control module, replacing the Integrated Power Module (IPM) and Front Control Module (FCM). It's replaced as an assembly.
Thanks so much I will check in to those wires which one is the tipm and pcm do u think it could be a relay at all
Its on the left side of the engine compartment just above abs. If you have a scan tool, it would help. Professional ones have bidirectional controls to activate relays ect. But you can diagnose without it. And yes it can be a relay. Check for power as mentioned above in my post. Thanks
Ok cool thanks again going to try check it out after work today around 6 tonight

SOURCE: PT CRUISER 2002 AUTOMATIC DOESNT CHANGE TO GEAR 3
Take it in & have it scanned, may only be a faulty solenoid or even brake switch may cause code & symptoms. Sooner you get it in, the cheaper it will probably be to repair it
