Topic HVAC?
Hvac " blend door, "
that part is bad, stuck or parts fell off. or broke inside.
or the door is jammed some way, cause overload of this servo.

to discover facts like this, one has to look.
(vacuum sys. cable or motor drive, some cars all 3 or 2 of 3)
newer cars use motor drive only...
did you look at it first? (if a motor drive looking is useless)
many new cars this is a blend door motor.
with cheap plastic gears inside. (a black box with wires)
some need to be recalibrate , simple steps in the FSM.

FSM IS, oem factory service manual.....
read that. and its all there, every step....

did you scan it first. to see if there are DTC errors for HVAC?

87 chevy caprice A/C vent not opening

Depends on what is clicking. The engine vac opens blend doors under the dash. It could be one of the vac pots or a blend door is sticking. Normally the hissing noise means you have a leak, but a leak usually does not fix itself.

Clicking noise under dash board behind glove box

The noise is likely the AC/Heater temperature control blend door moving. Some noise is normal

I have a 1998 Deville that is making a clicking noise in the dash. When I removed the pcm fuse the clicking stops. What could cause that to happen. I am also having problems with the a/c and have read that...

sounds like you have a blend air door sticking. if the actuator cant clos or open the door, the heater a/c box behind the dash will click. Its the actuator fighting to move the door. hope this helps

Clicking noise under dash near blend door. Removed fan and clicking still there. Is it possible the blend door is causing the clicking. It only starts when temp controls are moved from col to warm.

could be the blend door actuator(motor) when its clicking, disconnect it, if it stops then the motor is bad. If you want to.....if you mostly have it on recirc anyhow, just disconnect it when the door is open.

Control settings will not change so the blower fan does not push any heat or defrost.

It sounds like the blend door is not switching. Many times a broken vacum hose under neath the hood will cause this. The blend door is vacum operated, if one of the hoses is cracked you wont have a functioning blend door. Usually with the vehicle running and hood open you may hear a hising noise. Locate it and fix it.

The heat in my Mercury Sable isn't working. I turn the heat on and the blowers work but they only blow out cool air, it never heats up.

It could be 1 of 2 things
1st is the engine temp staying cold, if it is then it probably is your thermostat.
2nd and most likely it is the blend door actuator. you can check this by listening for a clicking sound somewhere in your dash when you try to change from cold to hot.
If it is your blend door actuator this will happen again because the blend door is warped, after you get it fixed try not going all the way to hot or all the way to cold so the blend door does not open to far.
Hope this helps, good luck.

Heater&air conditioning vents wont reach position make a clicking noise have no heat or air how do i fix? 2003 ford explorer

The clicking noise you hear is a stripped out plastic gear from the blend air door motor almost every car maker now uses little electric motors to control heater door panels, put it in the position for it to make noise go under your dash find where it is usually externally mounted remove it and replace it cost about 30 dollars at the dealer.depending on which of the 3 motors its is usually not hard to do.

I have a 2004 ford explorer the heater only puts out cold air just before this happened there was clicking noise in the dash how can this be fixed without removing the dash

It can't. The problem you describe sounds like your blend door has broken, to access it you have to remove the dash completely to access the environmental station, you may be able to open the environmental station to replace the blend door after that, however you may have to remove the environmental station as well, which means you will have to disconnect the water lines to the heater and the a/c also. Verify your door problem by going to the center of the dash at the bottom find the cover panel and remove it, look for a small white square box, this is the stepping motor that moves the blend door, take it off and plug it into its wiring harness, rotate your temp controls and see if it moves, if so use a inspection mirror and look up at the door and see if the drive end has broken off. Hope this helps, let me know

P0411 is what is says is my problem with my 1997 Ford Taurus When my heater is on it makes a clicking noise. What could is the most likely problem and how can i fix it?

i belive that the dtc that you have is not related to the clicking noise at all. apparently p0411 is concerning the secondary air injection. the clicking noise however would be a stuck or broken blend door or blend door motor. usualy the hvac system utilizes 3/4 of these blend door motors. to further diagnose this start your heater with the heat on full and fans at the normal face vents and move the vent selector from that inital position to the last position and if the clicking quits at any point then it would be that blend door motor. if that doesnt work then try to slowly move the heat selector from full heat to full cold, same deal. and if still at that point its making noise see if it goes away by selecting recirculate to fresh air....
