ok you can test , guess or work the silly list of static's
what is your WISH (desiree is profaen here)<?? you never said>?
STATS:? (lies, dang lies and statistics?) LOL !

  1. never did the 60k mile tuneup this decade?, wins #1 honors. omg, includes, air and fuel filtes.. and spark parts.. a shock?
  2. bad spark. (lots of ways, do the tests>?)
  3. bad engine, lost compression on 1 or more cylinders (large list here)
  4. bad fueling (too much is flooding) or too little and starves and stalls.
  5. no idle air supply, (ISC stuck closed) my 4.0L loved that trick, had 4 of these engines and all love that.... (use 10% throttle to start car, bingo if works)
  6. EGR stuck open if it has one, some dont.
  7. lost 12vdc electrical power to the EFI system and spark.
  8. not a melted cat, it restarts.
now my wild and useless guess...
the #1 intake valve stuck open...
yes, guessing is silly......

what works? a hands on ASE tech. servicing your car, and guess what he dont guess. he /she runs the tests. and finds the true cause.

Try spraying carb cleaner into the air intake tube for the throttle body as someone tries to start the engine. If it starts, runs for a few seconds and dies...its fuel related-most likely your fuel pump.
If it doesn't start at all while spraying carb clnr and attempting to start- most likely ignition/electrical problem Hope this helps you??

Dies while driving. No spark could it be crank sensor?
Yes. When it dies and will not start again watch the tachometer and see if it moves as you crank the engine.

The code is for your throttle position sensor.
This sensor tells the computer how far the throttle is open, if this sensor is faulty the computer does not know how to manage fuel and ignition, or will not do it well.

Unplugging the map sensor only makes the computer revert to theoretical settings to allow the vehicle to run.

It looks as if your problem is with the throttle position sensor or its circuit.

if the car sputters or anything before it dies then u might have a fuel problem. u could try changing ur fuel filter. Or simply give the car a tune up. New spark plugs and wires.
