Where can i find 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood brougham power steering pump with electric variable orifice i can find the pump but does not come with evo cylanoid need help locating it

Hi there, sorry to say I do not think so. If the power steering system is specialised, designed for the car, there is unlikely to be another backup system to substitute for it when it breaks.. If the PAS pump is broken then it is a matter of replacing it. Please check the link below for sellers of recycled parts

Cheryl, sense we are working with a 1994 there's 3 things you can do. (1) You can try to google it. " 1994 Cadillac Brougham cooling system wiring diagram" NOTE: don't forget to put the engine size in there so you get the correct diagram. (2) You can go old school and see if you can find a manual for your vehicle. (3) You can go to the Library and see if they have your manual or pull it up on the slides. They'll charge you to print it but I've found a lot of help doing it that way. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Cheryl.

Before i give you the info let me say that the fuel pump relay in this car is very robust, I have never replaced one in 20 years.
The relay is located inthe underhood electrical box, it is marked.

I think you are a little confused. "EVO" stands for Electronic Variable Orifice. This has to do with your variable assist power steering - not your air suspension. What it sounds like you are describing by "doohicey" is a suspension height sensor. If the sensor is broken or damaged, it will cause the air suspension to drop down. Just replace the sensor and it will probably work again. Suspension height sensor failures are pretty common.

remover the engines oil pan and you will see the engines oil pump and screen

You may have the tools, but you should pay particular attention to the warnings about the air bag. That module contains a very powerful explosive that can activate even with all power removed, and can present a very serious hazard during removal to get at the turn signal assembly. I strongly recommend either letting a pro do it, or at least get the GM service manual for the vehicle and follow the instructions very carefully.

its showing me ign3 works the cruise control. should be under the hood and should be a 10amp fuse.

This may be your problem.


FORD: 1994-96 THUNDERBIRD LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1994-96 COUGAR ISSUE: Steering efforts at low speeds may intermittently increase to the heavier for highway setting on some vehicles. This is due to electrical "noise" from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) being picked up by the Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO) module. The EVO module then interprets this as an increase in vehicle speed and reduces the steering assistance to the heavier for highway level.
ACTION: Replace the EVO module with a new module that has improved filtering for electrical noise. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE Replace EVO module (F6SZ-3F712-BB). Locations are as follows:

• On 1994-95 vehicles, the EVO module is located under the package tray in the trunk.
• On 1996 vehicles, the EVO is located under the heater blower case on the passenger side.

Refer to Section 11-02 of the appropriate year Thunderbird/Cougar Service Manual for additional diagnosis and repair information.
