This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is output when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects errors in communication between the Transponder Key Electronic Control Unit (ECU) assembly and the ECM, or in the communication lines. However, you can also visit https://www.reliable-store.com and download the entire service manual for better understanding. It has all the information along with the diagrams which are really are helpful. Good day!
The code means...
'RF/Passenger memory 1 select switch circuit open'
It is a 'body' related error code. Not sure what it refers to as it is usually a GM specific code not Toyota. Could you possibly re-check the code, is there any other problems. Please comment with more details.
not really possible unless you have a broken crank shaft at the rear main bearing or if automatic then the flex plate has broken off around the flywheel bolts . The torque converter will hold the flex plate in position and if manual then the pressure plate on the throw out bearing will maintain the flywheel in position. Unless you are saying that the motor spins freely but will not start which is different . If that is the case check that the cam shaft is turning(broken timing belt) and bent valves.
Starter problems are very common on these V-8 engines, even though it may test good on the bench it doersn't mean it's going to work in the engine everytime since the becch test doesn't have the load of turning the engine, I would not trust this starter in this case because of all the work involved in removing it again.
when immobilizer is out of range trying engine start. but faintly engine not start, now immobilizer is in car but engine is not start. one signal alarm is blinking lights. how to reset this alarm of Prado 2007 model.
Had exact same problem after driving 120 miles in Florida heat. After 30 minutes started but ran rough for a day and now seem fine. Thought at first fuel filter or dirty gas. Going to replace filter anyway. Is this a common problem?
