Where is the mark locate to line the cam shaft Pulley,
also the mark to line up with the mark on the timing gear pulley On a 1990 Ford Ranger 2.3
I am installing a new timing Belt and need your help Please TO line up the Camshaft mark and the Ignition Mark
and What Degree before T.D.C or tell me if T.D.C is o.k

You can find the timing mark on the end of a crank shaft by looking for an indented dot which marks top dead center.
A flywheel is balanced and does not need a mark. However if the wheel you refer to is a cam gear (one or two gears depending on how many cam shafts your engine has) look for 2 dots with a tooth grove between the two dots. A matching drive gear will have a single dot aligned with a tooth on the drive gear. When put together the single tooth marked on the drive gear must fall into the grove marked the the 2 dots on the cam gears.
If you are just trying to time an engine, the belt drive pulley mounted to the crank shaft will have a single indented line. The line can get filled with dirt so you can't see it. Wipe it clean and fill with grove with something to highlight the groove, as with a white or yellow crayon or a dob of bright paint. Associated with the belt drive pulley, there should be a metal plate with line marks spaced on it, with 0 degrees (top dead center TDC) marked on it, When the engine is running, using a strobe light connected to your number 1 spark plug you will see where the timing mark on the belt drive pulley is compared to the metal plate with the timing marks.
Remove Belt.Turn crankshaft pulley mark to line up with mark on housing TDC. Turn camshaft gear mark to line up with mark on head or block housing. More than one mark on cam gear ? If so turn camshaft till number four cylinder inlet and exhaust valves are just rocking this is the mark to use. ( same can be used on a six cylinder engine rocking number six valves ) fit new parts, tension belt, (TIP) now turn engine twice by hand , recheck that timing marks line up . saves a lot of time if you find they don't later.
Here is the trick. Align marks. Put the timing belt on the crank shaft pulley first, and after on the overhead cam pulley. Release tensioner and rotate the crank shaft till the timing belt makes two full circles. Try to align marks, you will be at least one tooth off. Align the crank shaft on the mark, and find out how many teeth you are off at the cam shaft pulley. Count the teeth. Remove the timing belt from cam shaft pulley only. Move cam shaft pulley in reverse according to the number of teeth you counted. Make sure the crank shaft pulley is on the mark. Mount the belt at cam shaft pulley.Rotate the belt two circles and check the marks. Repeate this procedure til after releasing the tensioner, and rotating the timing belt two full circles, the mars will be align.
6 Cylinder petrol: Align crank(C) timing notch mark (1) to oil pump mark. Align cam pulley(L+R) marks(3) to cylinder head marks The cam belt has 3 marks, 2 lines and one mark that is actually a row of dots. Align the dots to the crank pulley groove mark(2) and align the other 2 lines to the cam pulley marks. Using a clothes peg to hold the belt to the cam pulleys works wonders to keep it in place while fitting. Please note the arrows on the belt and have them point in the direction of rotation - right to left side of engine W - water pump pulley I - Idler pulley T - Tensioner pulley.
If for some reason you need to realign the cams on each bank : Standing
in front of the car and starting from YOUR left , looking at the cams
you should see RE, RI, LI, LE on each of the camshafts.(R for right
bank, L for left bank, I for intake and E for exhaust) Right bank
camshafts are marked with one dot, left bank with 2 dots on the shaft
itself. To align the camshafts to each other each cam shaft gear has a
mark on it. Draw an imaginary line between the centre of the camshaft
and the centre of the pulley. The alignment mark should be between the
two along this imaginary line. The result will be that RI an RE will be
at the top of each gear. The same with the left bank.
He said it's a 2.0 Liter. 1990 and 91 are the same. the crank shaft pulley lines up with the "0" mark located on the lower portion of the timing belt/water pump/oil pump cover. the top cam pulley lines up with the hole and a small dimple in the engine block behind the pulley, it;s super irritating to find and see, to be sure it;s correct you can put a small dill bit backwards into that hole and look careful with a flash light, sucks but it works. why am i here? i wanted to know what the crank shaft is positioned at when the cover is not on so i don't have to install the pulley to find it again. I have accidentally moved everything when I was installing the belt after the water pump and all the other stuff. i think they should have put the marks on the block as well as the plastic cover.it's a pretty important thing after all.
when the thing you are reading says somethings at 11 o clock, it means it;s at 11 o clock. Not 11 O clock after and earth quake tilts your house. the dimple in the engine lines the cam shaft pulley up with the hole in that pulley at 11 o clock. 12 being straight up 11 being behind that towards the windshield/passenger seat.
when you are installing that timing belt make sure your slack that is going to get grabbed up when un blot the spring tensioner is coming from below. if there is slack between the water pump and cam shaft pulley it will still be there when you release the tensioner.
On the cam shaft gear there are two "-" marks on either side of the gear along with the word "Up" stamped on the gear. Turn the crankshaft so that the word "up" is on top and line the "-" marks up with the cylender head. On the pulley of the drive shaft there are two seets of marks one set of three that looks like "lll" and one set about an inch to the right of these that looks like "l l" the "l l" needs to be lined up with the timing marks on the lower timing belt cover.
Align harmonic damper mark at TDC with #1 piston at top. You'll have to remove harmonic damper on front of crank. (You can do it without removing the damper, but it's a real pain in the rear.) This WILL require an industrial strength impact wrench to break the bolt loose. Pull spark plugs. Makes last step easy and you can use a screwdriver to make sure #1 is at top. You'll see tick marks on the crank pulley, the cam pulley and the auxillary shaft pulley. These marks must line up. Use a straight edge (ruler, piece of flat metal stock, etc.) to make sure they're aligned. Pull tensioner arm back and lock it there. Install belt around pullies. Now comes the tricky part. Whne you release the tensioner, the auxillary shaft will rotate at least one tooth off of alignment. Release tension and compensate auxillary shaft postion. You want the marks aligned with the belt under tension. Now using a long wrench, rotate the engine clockwise by turning the crank balancer bolt. After 2 complete revolutions back to TDC, confirm timing mark alignment on the pullies. If they're off, redo it until they're aligned. Good luck.
there should be a mark on the crankshaft pulley there should be a mark on the camshaft pulley and they should line up but to be sure bring the motor to tdc then line your mark up on your camshaft
