SOURCE: My running lights and turning signals do not work , but my break light and head lights work in my 2003 dodge stratus. Checked the fuses and light bulbs and were told they were good.

Do you hear the clickin sound that you usualy hear when using turn signal or hazard lights ?

Have you checked the brake light switch that is licated at the end of the braking pedal arm (folow the metal upwards you'll encouter the switch) (use a mulyi meter on the sund mode to check if there is a closed circuit)

No brake lights

There could be 2 switches on the brake pedal. The other thing to check is wiring harness on back of the vehicle.

My dashboard light isn't working but my turn signal light, emergency break light and all other warning lights work, just not the backlight so I can see the speed i am travelling in the dark.

Did you try turning the wheel/knob next to the head light switch? It's the dimmer for your interior lights. Sometimes that happens and some ppl don't know about it. Not sure how familiar you are with it so thought I'd throw that out there.

Turning my headlights on blows the fuses to running lights and dashlights

headlight switch is bad, change the headlight switch itsellf will short out, therefore blowing your fuse. turn signals and break lights are on a different relay, therefore they will still work

Window break light good but actual break lights not working

sounds like you have a bad turn signal switch.

If the third brake light is working than we know the fuse is good and the switch is good. The third brake light bypasses the turn signal switch. If the rear turn signals are working than we also know that the wiring from the switch to the rear bulbs is also good. The brake lights and the turn signals are on the same bulb so the turn signal switch is what determines if the bulb gets power from the brake light switch or from the turn signal flasher. If the switch is bad usually the first thing that stops working is the brake lights.

Typically you can wiggle, jiggle, pull, push on the switch lever with you foot on the brake and get the brake lights to work. Sometimes turning the four way on and off several times will also get the brake lights to work. If this is the case than a new turn signal switch will solve you problem.

I have a 2003 2 door explorer sport, just recently my turning signal and break light have stopped working on the passenger side!! I changed the light bulb, and nothing!! I changed the turning signal light...

No, because the left side is still working. The loose wiring was to the multifunction switch (turn signal).

Power gores through the turn signal switch to the brake switch on the brake pedal, then to the rear lights. Does the highmount brake lamp work?
At the RH lamp socket, Measure the voltage between the RH rear lamp C4032 pin 3, circuit 5 (OG/LB), harness side and ground. Should be 12 volts.

try that first.

Did you change the front and rear bulbs?

My blinkers and break lights are not working in my 1997 cavalier

I had the same problem, I'm not sure why this works.......but try turning on the emergency flashers. For reasons unknown, the emergency flashers should still work even if your lights do not. Now turn the flashers off and try your break lights and turn signals.
