Need wiring data for engine temp and alternator, both indicators. This is an xlt lariat with the 5.8 v8

Well first have you charged your battery back up, if so then try to by pass the ingintion switch by just connecting the two main post of the colenoid with a piece or wire, this creates a direct wire basically from your battery to your starter, if still no luck you will need a new starter located more to the drivers side close to right under the pedels on the bottom side of the truck.

ok you can take the egr valve off and clean it and if that works you my need to take it to get reset on codes other then that also check vacum lines if these do not work you will have to replace and i hate saying that because this part is high.. good luck to you and have a blessed day..

The alternator should be right up on top. First, have to take the serpentine belt off, just slide it off of the idler pulley (Keep your hands AWAY from it, the idler pulley will slam down with enough force to hurt badly.) I suggest a crowbar here, you'll need it again later. From there, just unbolt the alternator from the engine block, should be two long bolts with two nuts at the end. There should be two wires, with one coupling to take them off, take it off. Pull it, go take it to a GOOD repair shop, one that will hopefully sell you a new, not reman, alternator. Get a new one, put those bolts back in, put the wiring coupling back on, and now comes the hard part: Loop the serpentine belt back around, and get it ready to go under the idler pulley. Pull the idler pulley back with the crowbar, position (NOT DIRECTLY! Keep your hands AWAY from this pulley!) the belt under the idler pulley, and ease it down onto the belt. Could take a few runs to get that last part down.

91 f150 xlt lariat 2wd 302 5.0 v8 started a bit weak as I drove off my battery light came on and truck cut off. It will turn over strongly but not start. Plenty of power to everything

Double check the alternator and starter solenoid wiring connections... verify all nuts are tightened and all connections are firm...also verify belt is not loose..test both cam and crankshaft sensors..check voltage regulator on the alternator....but first check fuses and relays....

I brought my #2 plug and wire, I just need to know where the #2 plug and wire is in the F150 Ford XLT 2003 4.6, Triton V8

Number 2 is the seconded cylinder from the f font on the passenger side of the engine. The passenger side from front to back is 1-2-3-4. The drivers side from f font to back is 5-6-7-8

Had a problem like this before and it was the computer..But you could faintly smell something like burnt wires..The computer should be down by the kick panel on the driverside..See if you smell anything on that side

make sure all the wires were connected back to the battery there is a red wire that sits by itself and when you disconnect the battery it tends to fall also check the alternator circuit breaker could be blown.

The most common problem on a Ford V8 truck is the intake plenum gasket has distorted and maybe causing a major vacuum leak. While idling listen for a high pitched hissing noise. Buy a can of oxygen sensor safe Carburetor Cleaner. With the engine idling, spray around the center of the top half of the engine until you notice a change in the sound of the engine. Keep spraying to try to isolate the source of the leak....Be careful an follow the directions on the can of carb cleaner as to safety precautions...
