New lamps and blinker part/unit
Hello, its not the blinker module after all it runs both sides
and dont know sides? its common to both electrically
the schematics are easy to find, get one?
ill pull one up for you.... (alldata.com has it 24/7)
to fix a blinker (after the physical inspection done for damage front and rear)
we use a thing called a $10 volt meter (walfart sells one)
here are the ropes
1:check blinker fuses. and hazard fuses.
2: do the hazards fail too. on the right side? this is #1 key fact
does it>? if it does ok then that implies the switch right side is bad.
3: got 12vdc to the blinker switch, sure.
4: got 12vdc out the switch to left (pulses it does) sure.
5: got pulsing 12v out of right terminal of switch
yes, then the wires are cut, (my guess (useless) i tailer wiring hacks.
its low, like 8v or less pulsing the line is shorted.
0v at switch is a bad switch.
here it is,, sorry that this forum shrinks it to death.
but there is no relays, its a blinker module.
(inside it yes) as you can see the fuse 7 will kill both sides.
and the other fuse kills hazards.
as you can see the hazard side has its own contacts.
so if they work, then the switch is bad. (easy huh)_?
but if hazards are dead too then you have wiring issues
or lamps dead, or lamps shorted. why not replace the lamps.?
if hazards fail too...?? lamps can short.
why not post status of hazard??????

Hi
there is usually a turn signal relay under the dash that clicks when you turn left and right you may need to replace it they wear out over time
