Radio 12v blue + radio harness
Radio Ground (chassis)
Radio Ignition pink + radio harness
Radio Illumination yellow/red + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on blue/white or pink + radio harness

How to install a alternater for a el dorado 97

FIRST TURN OFF RADIO SO YOU WONT LOSE PLAYING CODE BEFORE DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.REMOVE THE COVER FROM THE HEAD LIGHTS AND THE RADIATOR SHROUD. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY. DISCONNECT THE LEFT ENGINE TORQUE STRUT.DISCONNECT THE UPPER TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER LINE.REMOVE THE RIGHT AND LEFT COOLING FANS.REMOVE THE SERPENTINE BELT FROM THE ALTERNATOR PULLEY.REMOVE THE BOLT FROM THE FRONT TOP AND THE LOWER FRONT OF THE ALTERNATOR.DISCONNECT THE HARNESS AND OUT PUT CABLE FROM THE ALTERNATOR.REMOVE THE BOLTS FROM THE ALTERNATOR REAR BRACKET -.NOTE - THE BOLT NEAREST TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE BRACKET BUT CAN BE BACKED OUT ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR ALTERNATOR REMOVAL.REMOVE THE AC SPLASH SHIELD.REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL FROM THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE RADIATOR SUPPORT AND DISCONNECT THE HARNESS CLIP FROM THE CRADLE. MOVE THE ALTERNATOR AWAY FROM ENGINE. AND OUT FROM THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. TO INSTALL THE ALTERNATOR TO THE BRACKET WITH THE BOLTS TO THE REAR OF THE ALTERNATOR.HAND TIGHTEN THE BOLTS. CONNECT THE HARNESS CLIP TO THE CRADLE.INSTALL THE ACCESS PANEL AND AC SPLASH PANEL.CONNECT THE HARNESS AND OUTPUT CABLE TO THE ALTERNATOR.TORQUE THE OUTPUT CABLE TO 15 FT LBS.TIGHTEN THE REAR MOUNTING BOLTS TO 36 FT LBS. INSTALL THE BOLTS TO THE LOWER FRONT AND FRONT TOP OF THE ALTERNATOR AND TIGHTEN TO 36 FT LBS.ROTATE THE DRIVE BELT TENSIONER AND INSTALL THE SERPENTINE BELT.INSTALL THE REMAINING COMPONENTS CONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.RUN THE ENGINE AND CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM OPERATION.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. On 1991-92 models, remove the finish panel from around the radio assembly.

To remove the radio, insert the removal tool prongs into the release clip access holes (arrows)

Push in approximately 1 inch (25.4mm) to release the retainer clips, then pull straight out to remove

3. Insert the radio removal tool T87P-19061-A or equivalent, into the radio face.

4.Press in 1 inch (25.4mm) to release the retaining clips, then using the tool as handles, pull the radio out of the instrument panel.

  1. Disconnect the antenna and wiring connectors from the radio.
To install:
  1. Connect the wiring and slide the radio into the instrument panel. Ensure that the rear mounting bracket is engaged on the mounting track in the panel.
  2. If removed, install the finish panel
  3. Connect the battery cable.
  4. Check the operation of the radio.

Audio wiring problem

Constant 12V+ Blue/Yellow
Switched 12V+ Gray
Ground Brown (or your own wire to a metal grounding point)
Illumination Green
Antenna Trigger Black/Red

Front Speakers 4" Dash
Left Front (+) Pink
Left Front (-) Purple
Right Front (+) Green
Right Front (-) Blue

Rear Speakers 5 1/4" Rear Deck
Left Rear (+) Black

I a '83 camry, there are 2 seperate plugs that go into a factory radio.
One for Power/and front speakers, and the other for rear speakers.

Sounds as if you are missing part of the harness for the rear speakers (or it is shoved in the back of the dash unused by the previous install). If there is not an un-cut plug in the dash - your only course of action would be to run your own set of speaker wire to the rear.

See this picture... these are the plugs that should go into your factory radio....

Cut harness from stereo in 1990 corolla dx sedan

did u know that they make a harness for your car that plugs into your factory harness and then adapts to your aftermarket radio? for the lights, you have blown the interior light fuse, it may be the same fuse as the cigar lighter.Below is your radio wire colors and what they do.
