How do I replace my ignition switch on a 2001 mitisisubi mirage?

Replace the ignition starter switch. This is the electrical switch that the ignition key tumbler operates.

best advice is to get a locksmith to do the job. They will be able to put in a new tumbler, supply the correct fob keys for the immobiliser and possible program it to the vehicle . IF not you will have to take the keys and the vehicle to a service dealer to have it programmed.

Here's a guide on how to remove ignition switch.

This would be caused by one of two things, first check the horn pad and make sure the horn button (pad) is not broke or stuck if thats okay then i would replace the horn relay, this relay is located in the fuse box, also check the under the hood fuse box. they started putting the horn relays in the engine compartment fuse/relay box, the cover of the fuse box will list where the relay sits in the box. good luck, hope this helps.

The fuel pump in a 2001 mitsubishi mirage is located in the fuel tank.The tank must come down to replace the pump module.This will involve removing the tank to replace the pump module......any other questions please get back to me at your earliest convience.....thanks.....

call a lock smith he can make a new key with out haveing to change the locks nor the ignicion switch

Yes, the O2 sensor would be the proper place to start. You really dont need to replace it rather than just clean it with a wire brush. It is easier to replace it though.

this is not really a DIY job,you will need some special tools to remove the bearing and refit the new one.If you know enough to remove the hub assembly then i will explain how to remove the bearing and fit the new one,failing which remove the hub assembly and take it to a local engineers/re-conditioners to have the bearing pressed in and out
