Do you have a diagram of where the cam sensor is located

i would say your looking at a faulty cam shaft sensor..its located on front side of engine. this fixed the same problem i had..there are 2 sensors one being your cam shaft sensor (normal to go out) and the crank shaft sensor..these work inline with computer to determine correct timing.hope this helps

The camshaft Position Sensor in a 2006 Kia Spectra is located in the cylinder head on the right side of the head near the front of the engine. (if you are standing at the passenger fender area, this will be on YOUR left on the side of the engine nearest the windshield.) (See Diagram)

NOTE: if you are trying to fix a cam sensor code, it should be noted that MANY cam sensor fault codes can be caused by things OTHER than a defective cam sensor. For example, loose timing belt components can cause erratic cam sensor readings and cause the computer to set a code for the cam sensor. Proper diagnosis should be performed.

The cam sensor is located on the rear of the left cylinder head, heres a diagram to help you locate it.

the cam sensor is located on the front of the engine below the power steering pump, if you look under the power steering pump, look from the front side you will see crank sensor, heres a diagram its not labeled but if you look were the ps pump would sit you can see the wire from the cam sensor, hope this helps.

Try and Google but depending on engine the 4 cyl. sensor is on the front where the engine and trany bolt together.Hope this helps.

Do need you to know where the sensor is located ? If so it's located inside distributor housing, just below rotor on (3.9L-V6 5.2L-V8 5.9-V8) 8.0L-V10 cam sensor is located on the timing chain cover.
