Fuel pump only runs on "Crank" or after the engine has started to run. Having put gas in the tank you should only have to crank a bit, 10 seconds at a time, 30 seconds wait, until the system refills. If you are talking about diesel then that's a whole different ball game.

The car will not start - ignition OK - fuel pump is running OK - Ford Escort 1999 16v electronic fuel injection

If this is turning over and sounding like it is not getting gas and with what you state as checked out I would go next to the fuel relay. If you ran out of gas you will need to reset the fuel safety shut off. Still may have to do that anyway. Check your manual for the location of this switch.

Where is fuel pump reset on a 2003 nissan murano

There is no fuel pump reset. If ou rainout of gas you may have ruined the fuel pump. The only manufacturer that uses a resettable intertia switch is ford. This will only trip in the event of an accident to shut off the power pump.

Check to listen for the fuel pump when the ignition is turned to the on setting. You shall hear it hummm normally but i bet you dont. There is a fuel pump shut off switch that was on your model durango if im not mistaken, that shuts off the fuel pump in the event of a crash, or hard hit, or ran out of gas. In your owners manual it can advise you where it is located, usually the passenger floor, kick panel.

Location of fuel reset button

Hello rohoii.
Your Oldsmobile does not have one.
Ford has a "inertia switch" that is designed to shut off fuel in the event of an impact but no other North American brands are so equipped.
Your Oldsmobile fuel system will shut off if the engine stops.
Hope this helps you.

99 gmc wont start

check electric fuel pump operation ( located in the fuel tank ). Occasionally a fuel pump will burn out when running out of fuel, due to the fact the pump runs DRY for about 30 seconds till the fuel stops flowing out of the injectors, the engine quits, simultainously losing oil pressure which FINALLY shuts off the fuel pump. Sometimes TOO LATE. Hope this helps

Does the electric fuel pump come on when you turn the key? It should make a buzzing noise for 3 seconds or so.
