SOURCE: oil pressure gauge stays at top, about 80 psi, is this normal

80 is on the high side for those... possibly a sending unit issue

SOURCE: temperature gauge not working 93 chevy 3500 5.7

What engine? 350? It is in the drivers side head. Between the 1 and 3 spark plugs.

The stepping motors in the gauges go bad. Do a search on ebay for CHEVY SILVERADO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER for cheaper repair options, dealer costs $300.00

Look for a missing ground strap from the engine to the body or frame. Remember the engine sits on rubber mounts so that ground strap is essential.

93 s10 oil pressure gauge bounces when at idle. levels out when i rev up motor. also seems to have smoke a little out the exhaust when gauge is bouncing. truck has been sitting for 1.5yrs

Change the oil pressure switch

The smoke is another issue,don't know
if that will get better

On my 1999 chevy silverado the only gauges that work are the oil pressure gauge and the temperature gauge. nothing else is working cot even the speedometer or the RPM gauge.

93 S10 TEMP GAUGE

temperature switch its on the engine follow your top big rad hose to the engine and the switch should be beside the rad hose or thermostat housing. Its around 15 dollars for a new one but first make sure the switch is plugged in.

try yhe pickup coil or ignition module wich are both located on the distributor or the igniton coil.im going through the same thing.all i have left to try is the ignition module.if i get it ill be sure to let you know
