CLEAR A/C DRAIN - 2010 Cadillac DTS

F02 means that the washer isn't draining properly. There is a drain catch inside the washer that you will want to access and clean if you're getting this drain error. To access the drain catch, tip the machine backwards and lean it against the wall at a 45 degree angle or so. Remove the 3 screws along the bottom of the lower front panel. The lower front panel will then pull down and off. There is a 3" diameter plastic twist cap directly under the tub mounted to the floor. This is your drain cap. Unscrew the cap and clear any debris inside the drain catch. If you find nothing and the drain hose is clear, replace your drain pump.

All A/C units drain water and need a clear path to drain water. If window unit the unit MUST lean to the outside so the condensation water can drain that direction and insure the drain hole is clear of debree. If an indoor central a/c unit the drain must be clogged the unit is leaning away from drain or the pipe going to the drain is clogged somewhere as it exits house. Cant drain if doesn't have a clear path to do it's job. Doubt it's a problem with the brand.

remove glove box and plastic ducting by fan will be the ac coil also a little drain with a tube that runs into engine by firewall or to fender and down to drain condensation ur drain is clogged [if u can c or access the drain tube from outside clear with air first ] but clean drain and clear tube

Pull the carpet down in the passengers foot well and locate the evaporator drain in the housing.

Drill a 1/4 inch hole in the center of the drain tube housing as shown. Clear the drain tube with a wire or suitable tool by inserting it through the hole and into the drain tube.

Insert plug, P/N5255217 into the 1/4 inch hole drilled previously. Verify that the drain is clear by operating the system in the A/C mode and observing that water is draining.

The a/c evaporator has a drain tube that allows moisture to drain out of the car. The tube will stick down on the lower, passenger side of the engine just in front of the fire wall. You can usually only see it from below the car. Sometimes these drain tubes can get clogged with leaves or other debris from the road which doesn't allow it to drain so it backs up and leaks water onto the passenger side floor. Try to locate this drain tube and clear it out. Compressed air works pretty good for this.

If the drain hose was cleared the water should have drained off. It sounds like the Condensation drain is still partially or fully clogged and not allowing the water to drain off. The only way to get into the area of the condensation drain, other than through the drain hose, is to open up the Coil area on the interior of the vehicle. When they attempted to clear the drain they most likely used a wire and ran it up the hose to clear it. If the drain hose is actually clear you might be able to drain it a little further by elevating the rear of the vehicle.

Take a stiff piece of wire, something like a coat hanger. Bend the end over so it will not catch on the drain tube. Push it up into the drain line as far as it will go. If this does not clear it then you will need a flexible wire of some sort. You can try an air compressor and blow into the drain line but do not use much air or you will do damage to the line. A slight amount of air pressure may remove the obstruction. If that does not clear the drain then you will have to get to the drain from inside the vehicle. First try getting to the drain line and squeezing it together. That may just be enough to dislodge the obstruction. If not you will have to completely remove it and clean it out. Good luck.

mcdevito75 here, Drain could be clogged or has flopped to the inside of your car, Locate the drain tube comming thru the Fire wall just opposite of the glove box and use a thin wire to clear it. You can get thin wire at a hardware store.

you will need to clear the a/c water drain. find out where the drain tube is and slide a small wire up inside to clear the drain.

your a/c drain is stopped up. sometimes you can take a wire coat hanger and run it up the drain and clear it, or take it to any mechanic and he should be able to clear it with compressed air. you will know when its clear, a lot of water will come out.
