Remove all bolts in the pan assembly. You may need to remove other objects that may obstruct the removal of the oil pan bolts. It would be a good idea to have the oil drained prior to pan removal. The oil pan uses a special RTV sealant instead of a gasket and can be a pain to seperate from the engine block. Use a soft faced hammer and strike the sides of the oil pan until it begins to loosen from the block. You can then use a screwdriver/prybar to seperate the seal and have the pan come off

I have a honda crv and its very noisy sounds like its comeing from the diff

Hi there.....
I was browzing around for the specs of my 05 CR-V in Singapore when i saw your problem.....The sound should sounds like a loud clicking noise of the rearwheels gear area I believe if the sound is coming from the rear. It could be your diff oil that needs to be changed.
Mine was like that & problem solved with the DIfferential Oil change.

How do I change the transmission fluid in my 2004 Honda CRV and where is the drain plug?

ourhowse, you may know cars, but you DON'T know the CRV. Both the automatic and manual transmission have drain plugs basically like the oil pan. Look at several of the online videos.

How to remove the oil pan on a 2004 dodge ram 2500 diesel

What motor is in it? Mostly have to take all the oil pan bolts out, undo the motor mounts and raise the motor up enough for the oil pan to clear the cross member. make sure you don't have too much in the way when you raise the motor, as you may break something.

How hard is it to replace the oil pan gasket in a Honda CRV 1998?

That depends on the clearance you have to remove and reinstall the oil pan.  Sometimes components and chassis get in the way and you either have to jack up the engine or remove the offending parts.
Also many newer cars don't use a gasket and only use a quality sealer.   Having a hoist is a definate plus
