Obd codes can be read by turning the ignition key on and off quickly 3 times. then the codes will all appear one after another on odometer for a few seconds....be ready to write them down. then go to http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/dodge/ and get OBD code explainations.. however i had this problem and it was in a code . misfire on Clylinder #3 i bought a ignition pack and plug wires out of a wreck...got better but still rough. bought throttle body cleaner and spray out throttle body. remove air/idle sensor...it was clogged with dirt... spary it off.. that finally solved my rough idle bro..

Go to your local auto parts store and get a free OBD2 diagnostic scan. Guessing can cause you to fix something that isn't wrong.

SOURCE: 2004 chrysler sebring transmission was leaking but now has stop

Keep a close eye on the level, and watch for drops in driveway etc. Even try placing something under the transmission area if you have to, like cardboard or plywood. Good chance it didn't cure itself, but stranger things have happened I guess. Hope you used Mopar transmission oil to re-fill it. believe it or not, I don't work for Chrysler but have heard many a story about chrysler transmissions acting up because of wrong fluid in them, even when lube places tell you it's o.k to use something else. Just a heads up.

SOURCE: oil sending unit on 2004 chrysler sebring V6

Should be located close to the oil filter. It will screw in like a spark plug. It has a harness plug. Easy to change, save yourself $70 in labor. You will need a fairly large wrench to remove

SOURCE: 2004 chrysler sebring idle speed is too slow. HOw

why do you want your rpms higher while idling? you don't want them high because your gas bill will reflect that. slow shouldn't matter but if it's dying while on idle it could either be your mass air flow sensor or your fuel filter being clogged

SOURCE: Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan

Some of the Sebrings have two filters(one is called a sock). The sock(which all sebrings have) is located in the fuel tank itself on the pump module. If this model is the JXI then the external filter is located on the belly of the car between the tank and drivers rear seat. I hope I could help!!!

After several stops and shutting down, why does it sputter and won't start?

Once stopped, fuel injector(s) may be leaking and flooding the engine. Hook up fuel pressure gauge and run engine, then watch gauge when you turn off. If pressure quickly drops, pull spark plug(s) to see if they are gas soaked.

What causes it to spit and sputter

Often it's a fuel problem, so you should first check your fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. That is one thing the computer cannot sense, no sensor for pressure, and it is critical for injectors to have correct pressure at them. Also check for diagnostic trouble codes that may relate to the sputtering. A code reader or scanner will be needed-Autozone does computer scans for free.
How long has it been since you have replaced the fuel filter?

Check for fire to the coil pack. These have a tendency to go bad on these cars. Could be a cam or crank sensor, these also go bad. If you haven't changed the plugs in 30K, this is due also, wires every 60K. May need to actually get it hooked to a machine to find out for sure.
