I have a bolens bl110 is a 50:1 fuel ratio OK to run it or will I end up having problems?? Thanks everyone!!!!

  • Trey Jun 06, 2015

I use 50:1 with no issues. It says for use with all 2 stroke engines and is oil made from mtd (same manufacturer)
Hope this helps and it's not too old.

SOURCE: 92 accord lx leaking on fuel rail

Dont replace just one O ring on the injectors. You need to replace all when you replace them. It sounds like you still have O ring leaks.

My 1998 citation developed some kind of fuel fault. Check engine light came on, this shortly after filling with fuel whilst engine running. Oil pres temp and volts remain good but shortly after that e

First, never gas up while the engine is running it's a fire hazard to you and everyone else at the station. Did you check air to fuel ratio? Is car getting enough of each? The check engine light came on at gas station because of the car running, just like a loose gas cap can trigger it.

What to check if exhaust get very warm and steams?

have a compression test done to determine if the head gasket is ok and there are no cracks . Run fault codes to check for air/ fuel ratio problem sensors.

Gear ratio rearend

The pining noise you are hearing is detonation in the engine and comes from incorrect air/fuel ratio making the engine run too lean, It is spontaneous combustion occurring before spark and tends to drive the piston back down the bore. It is detrimental to the engine and should be rectified asap. Run fault codes and look for sensor problems. Vin numbers are unlikely to show the gear ratio of the rear end as there are 4 ratios for each model of car. Jack up on side of the rear . count the number of turns the pinion does for each revolution of the wheel . Divide that by 2 ( side gears in diff carrier multiply by 2 when driving one wheel)and you will get the ratio. So 10 revolutions of the tire gives 35.5. revolutions at the pinion equals to 17.5 or a ratio of 1.75: 1 ratio

Had a compression test ran, came back good but still running very ruff, have to keep foot on gas pedal or will die, any more suggestions???

I would be checking the inlet manifold for vacuum leaks including brake booster for leaks. Remove hose to booster and blank off. Check PCV valve is operating ok. Adjust the idle mixture screw to obtain a better air / fuel ratio. Do this in conjunction with the throttle adjustment screw to set the idle rpm. Check ignition timing. If you have efi system then run fault codes to see which sensors are faulty. But basically it is an air/ fuel ratio problem.

Air sensor check engine light

Ok as a guess that you have a SUV and you have different air faults. if you are a DYI'er go to an auto parts store and get an error code tool. Harbor freight for $30-50. Hook it to the car and find out which sensor is it calling for. Note, you can reset the check engine light on most tools that are not the cheapest.

basically its o2 sensors if your mechanically inclined its a good weekend job to tackle yourself and safe a couple hundred dollars in labour, you would need to invest in an o2 socket and some pbblaster penetrating lubricant to get them out..hope this helps you and dont forget to rate if it does help thanks

I have a 1995 GMC Jimmy that won't start.

It sounds like a faulty fuel pressure regulator. When you turn the key to the on position the fuel pump starts for an instant to build pressure in the fuel line. If the pressure regulator has allowed too much leakage since the last start then the fuel pump does not have enough time to prime the line. The fuel pressure will still measure ok when the car is running because the leakage is very low. Try turning the key off and on a few times prior to starting and see if the extra pump priming steps help. Also check the vacuum line to the regulator because it needs vacuum to work correctly.

1998 chevy K1500 timing runs ok for 10 miles then loses all pwr

1-timing on truck is ajusted by ecm, when u moved it u cause cam sensor code because it detected timing was off! 2-o2 sensors has the role of detecting air to fuel ratio coming out of exhaust, sends signal to ecm wich collects data from other sensors from that sets timing for best performance,if ecm detects something wrong in system data it will give engine code, that code will point at problem area,in your case o2 sensors probably detected lean fuel ratio that points to fuel system, blocked fuel filter or fuel pump faillure, elect, circuit damage, hope it helped!
