If I unplug all the wires from the motor to the wiring harnesses which wires do I run to the coil to make it fire, 97 timber wolf

It does not make any sense to try to make the engine run with the engine harness disconnected (it won't work). If you are trying to TEST the coil, test it by very briefly applying 6V(DC) at the primary and check for high-voltage spark at the secondary at the moment you remove the voltage.

SOURCE: Squirel ate through wire harness

Double check the firing order on plug wires, with no power. Also, the wires have to be in the right order on the coil pack. I don't have the manual at hand for this auto, but you can place a few calls and find out the correct order on the coil pack. Shoot the squirrel the first chance you get, just kidding, but check the complete engine firing system to make sure you did not miss anything they may have chewed through you haven't seen yet. Good Luck to you.

Y is my 97 chevy only fires on the number one cylender

if you have fire on the number one cylinder,it means that the ignition coil is working so your problem can come from spark plug wire or cap and rotor . unplug the wire from ignition coil to distributor and check for fire you are suppose to have fire because you saying having fire on cylinder one. from there change cap of distributor and rotor plus a set a spark plug wire.

Hello all. I had a 300zxtt motor with worn rings( blows dipstick out of the engine) and i pulled it out, changed over all the wiring as the old harness from the origional motor still works so i removed it...

Hi, I think you have not connected the proper electrical wirings it needs to feed the coil, starter motor and distributor, Try retrace your step again you must have missed some wire connection.
You're running with the twin turbo ones I assume. So by way of description you have done all the right thing except power the motor propperly. Cheers

# 1 injector not firing

Well you need to check the harness to see if it is getting power. You may need to take the plentum off and then unplug the harness and then reinstall the plentum but make sure that you leave the harness out so you have access to it.

Then you can make a test light or purchase one. Plug the test light into the harness and start the car. This light should flicker, if not you didn't repair the wire properly. Doesn't sound like a fuse being that none of the injectors would work if a fuse blew.

It could also be that the PCM grounded out when the mouse chewed the wire and needs to be replaced.

Don't worry about checking the ASD Relay because that would cut off all power to the injectors and coils.

Motor swap now it will not start

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution here. I had the same problem with my race car. I swapped a 96 2.2 into my 97 racecar and ended up having to also swap the engine wiring harness, computer, instrament cluster and pass module. The engine harness will bolt to the interior harness even though the wire colors are not the same. Just make sure you match the large yellow wire on the 96 harness to the large purple wire on the 97 harness. It sounds pretty complicated but it only took me maybe an hour to perform the swap. Now I'm back up and running and will be racing again this weekend.
