A/c cold on onside not the other.

This one even has me going nuts.I have a problem with a Ford explorer A/C system. When running the A/C in max or regular cooling the left drivers vent and the left side of the center vent run warm air.The right side passenger vent and the right side of the center vent blows cold air(normal A/C).All the vent positions are ok and the airflow is good.Is there a divider between the 2 center vents?

Sounds like a cracked vacuum line... or a bad vacuum control box getting the settings confused check there first.. (hot air from outside is being forced in on the one side because one vent is open, cold on other then when on normal when both outside vents should be open 2 arent and one is)

On my 2004 mercury mountaineer if anyone knows what size socket fits the rear axle nut let me know I have been told a 36 mm but it seems like it's a little too big for the nut

36mm is the consensus of opinion, but in reality, it is the socket that 'FITS'! Most socket sets come in metric and imperial, you use that one that is the best fit.

How do you deactivate the anti-theft system in a 1997 ford explorer

Sorry to say, you can't. Needs on a scanner to see what's not turning on when cold. I just did a van. They said security. I couldn't get it not to start. It got really cold one morning, then it wouldn't start. Checked on the scanner, everything was good. Went to the starter and loosened, then tightened the 2 nuts for ignition and battery. It was just a bad connection of the wires. It was a 99.

My 1999 Ford Explorer Sport 4.0 SOHC will cold start and idle till the gas runs out. Will not restart unless it is floored and then miss

Sounds like upper o2 sensors are bad. May also be other things like a dirty idle air valve, fuel regulator, fuel filter, air filter, etc. Do all the maintenance then re-evaluate. And the problem with o2 sensors may not give you a code.

Starts when cold and runs great but stalls when warm

Use a bottle of yellow HEET dry gas to remove any moisture problem in the fuel.

Clean / replace air filter.

Top off ATF to MAX level.

My heater only blows cold air-'98 ford explorer

Hi Bri,

That is usually the first symptom of low coolant. Not enough water in the system to circulate through the heater core. Has it been running hot?

Check the coolant level in the radiator

Best regards,
Mike

Temperature Control not working on 1999 Ford Explorer

Sounds like your temperature actuator is not moving or your temp door is broken. On max a-c ,coolant is shut off to your heater core allowing only cold air in.

2006 Ford Explorer

The 1st thing you do is have the system tested for the trouble codes that are turning the lights on, I doubt the 2 are related from past experience. Kragen auto and others do this test for free, post the codes back here and I will help you get this fixed
