Not exactly sure, but if you find the accumulator its likely to be there. It seems every maker thinks they have to hide them from the public. A good place to start looking is at the evaporator and trace the line from there to the compressor. it might have a blue cap on it.

96 continental oil leak around air conditioner pump

There is a chemical which can be put into the A/C fill port to glow when hit with an ultraviolet pen. Autozone, Advance, and Orielys carry these kits.

By using this kit, you can find out whether this is a leak from your A/C system or the engine or Power steering.

How do you recharge the air conditioning?

Air conditioning uses CFC gasses to cool air. These gasses, should they be released into the atmosphere, could cause harm to the environment. Most countries mandate that a qualified person carry out the maintenance work.

If you live in a country that allows DIY AC recharging, there are kits available to cycle out old gas and cycle in new gas. You need to get the right refrigerant for your car, and most codes can be found online.

Low side port for air conditioner

If you are recharging the air conditioner - start at the A/C pump, and follow the lines up until you find a black round stub (this unscrews) and this is where you will re-fill (recharge) the A/C.

NOTE: It is recommended to have a professional (certified) mechanic recharge A/C systems, but is not necessary. (laws and regulations vary per state, city, county).

Where is the location of the air ride compressor on a 2000 lincoln continental?

When looking at the engine of your 2000 Lincoln Continental you will notice a coner brace on the left front corner. Directly under the brace you see the air ride comnpressor. you will have to remove the corner brace to gain access to the compressor. Once you do so it is just a matter of a few hard to get to nuts to remove. The compressor has rubber tubes coming from it that supply the air to the air bladders on your suspension. Don't forget the disconnect the battery prior to disconnecting the wiring clips in order to avoid causing electrical damage.

Is any instruments available for measuring the Ac compressor in a car running in a idling condition more than five minutes

If air is going out the system needs recharged...take it to an AC servicer to recharge the AC system. 1994 I believe is still using the R12 refrigerant so a servicer will need to do it.

Freon leak in line lincoln continental 97

use 134A and you can put it in your self.. Just pay attention Only instal freon in the low side of your system.. low side is always the larger hose ... Got that ? larger .. small hose is high side is not not the place to put it in .. Find your largest air conditioner hose and follow it out till you find a port to put in freon .. which you can buy it and the hose at a walmart store..they do make a sealant also that will sometimes slow the loss of freon.. let me know if you need more.. jerry
