I have a Polo 1.6 Comfortline. When I unlock the boot it wont open, I can hear a noise but won't open. Could it just be a fuse

If you hear a noise that means that the electronic solenoid is operating, so it isn't the fuse. You do have power going to it. It appears that it is a common issue. One way that often works is to have someone in the car and someone at the boot. The boot person presses down and on 3,2,1, the car person presses the button and the boot person jerks the boot up.

Peogeot 508 fuel filler cap solenoid won't work. Cant identify a fuse nor can I find access to the rear of the solenoid. Any feedback or guidance would be most welcome, cheers Tony

are you sure that the solenoid is not working
mostly they do work but the spring at the flap hinge breaks and then the flap will not move or be easily opened
the requirement is 2 people --one to hold the button depressed and the other to use a pry bar or suitable tool to open the flap.

Why wont my car boot wont open on my citren berlingo ?

Can you give a check to the micro switch that is connected to your boot lock?
If the catch gets stuck, open your drivers door, leave it open, reach across & press down the lock on the passenger front side. The locks will lock/ unlock themselves, because they sense a door is open. Repeat this action until you hear the boot unlock. Also, keep your battery well-charged.

Battery dead boot locked and wont open manually

If you have a trailer plug in the rear of the vehicle, power can be feed into the correct terminals to allow for electric things to work. Also, the interior power outlet for the cigarette lighter can be used as a port to feed in power with any cigarette power lead. Just be sure to use the negative with the same polarity.

For that matter, if the interior is accessible, you can uncover the fuse panel and feed power into the fuse block. Any 12Volt battery will provide enough power to open the boot.

Mercedes e class cannot open the boot

I have a e320 2003 model, the same has happened to me. I wondered if it could be the fuse but couldn't find a fuse that managed the boot.....
This problem is identical to the other post "boot wont open electronicaly by the boot release latch above the number plate, the boot release button inside the car or the key fob! I have to use the manual key to mechanically open it now."
