2000 toyota corolla ve engine will run at idle but when you step on gas engine dies if you let off gas it stay running at idle got good fuel pressure good spark.i changed ecm changed fuel pump spark plugs fuel injectors no engine light on.

The first thing to try is to get a can of throttle body cleaner from Autozone or Walmart and clean the throttle valve and the idle speed control valve, they get get gummed up and that causes the annoying stall.

There will be a fuse OR a relay in the driver side kick panel
Leave engine on and pull the fuse.When engine dies-try to start if no start,the pressure is gone in the system.

Could be the throttle position sensor, or low fuel pressure.

It can be low fuel pressure issue or clogged fuel pump. Or its engine related issues,---------------

whats your fuel pressure? you can be running low fuel pressure and the pump could be going also id check pressure regulator take your vacume gun apply vacume to it while its running if engine dies pressure regulator is good

Check the fuel pump pressure using a fuel pump pressure guage. It would not necessarily be unheard of to have a new, but bad, fuel pump. No or low pressure, then take the pump back and get another one.

The check engine light is on but the computer comes up with an error. We called Toyota and they have been having problems with the computer so they extended warranty to 8 yr. 80,000 miles thanks for all your help
