SOURCE: sun visor replacement

You unscrew the two bolts and gently take the visor off the mount. There will be a wire attached that has a plastic male/female connection that can be pulled apart. Do this gently. The wire is the power connection for the vanity light located within the visor.

unclip the sun visor from the "latch" side. Using a flathead pocket screwdriver gently pry the plastic shroud away around the hinge side. This will expose the bolts for the sun visor. Remove the weatherstripping partially from around the door if equipped with grab handles gently pry the covers off the hinges with pocket screwdriver and remove bolts (t30) partially remove cover from clip for sun visor and remove bolt (t20). Pull firmly directly out on a-pillar to unseat from pillar. Unscrew the three bolts from sun visor hinge side and gently unseat from wiring guide. The driver's sun visor won't stay up, it falls down

Already reported as being a repetitive problem with Murano vehicule owner eventhough they have it alreay replaced.
You can fight as long as you want with your dealer that this is a security issue no recall has been expressed about that so far.

I can say that some people switched the passenger side one with the driver side with little of convenience. I can't say more personnally.
The permanent fix being approx $250 unless you get it one in a scrap yard not knowing how long will be its life time! Up to you to make the decision.
Hope it will help
Dan

I have a 2003 Murano that just started having this problem a few weeks ago. As a quick fix, my husband and I switched the driver's side sun visor with the passenger's side sun visor (yes, everything is backwards now, but it's a minor inconvenience). It was very simple to do, and only took about 5 minutes. The cover pops right off to reveal two screws that hold the unit in place. Anyone could do it.
Meanwhile, we are searching local junkyards to try to find a replacement to avoid having to pay $250 (+) for a replacement visor. user_offline.gif

Sun visor on 2008 Camry broke - on both sides

To be honest, Save your 90.00 and pop it in your self. Sun visors are very easy to change and will take you all of 5 minutes. Most visors are held in place by 2-3 little screws that you will see at the base of the visor and looks like they are screwed into your roof. just take the screws out and the visor will pop right out for you. then just do the opposite to install it. It really is that easy.

Good Luck and I hope this helps.

Sun Visors won't stay up.

Bring it back to the dealer. That happened to mine and they replaced it. Also had problems with the drivers seat. It would not go back & forth. Dealer fixed.

I need to replace the passenger side sun visor....how?

I think you are talking about the sun visor for the windsheild, most cars of this erra the visor is held in place by 3 screws. after you take them out if there is some kind of light there will be a plug to unplug.
