Sounds like electronic problem, if the tranny worked ok before the swap. Are you sure the converter is installed correctly? Also double check the shift linkage

did you drop the pan replace the filter and add four to five quarts,If still a problem try doing a full transmission flush at a quick lube.
A transmission flush with Lucas trans tune up will probably fix your non shift issue, try this first before looking into a new tranny !

check the kickdown/throttle valve cable. It may be bound up and stuck in the maximum position giving you extremely late shifts.

There ISN"T any modulators or vac lines on any Chrysler automatics

i got a 1996 chev. blazer s-s10 4.3 engine 4x4.problem i got is i got 1st 2nd & overdrive & reverse but no 3rd gear what should i do

Don't waste your money of a fluid change. The fact that it's burnt means your clutches are worn out. Time for a complete rebuild. Keep driving it like this and there won't be anything left to rebuild. You'll wear out bands and servos and the rebuild cost will be more than the car is worth.

1988 chevy 4x4 k1500 auto tranny wont shift into 2nd, 3rd etc

Check the sensors on the transmission. May just be corrosion on the sensors or it may be a faulty sensor. Also, the torque converter bearing may have went bad due to the running it on low transmission fluid.

Fluid Change has nothing to do with making a
repair or solving anything,it will however make
a slipping trans slip worst & even quit
Do you have 120,000 miles on the trans,then it's time
to rebuild or replace it with a reman

two products are great but are you checking the fluid when its hot? you get a different reading when the fluid and ****** are warmed up. Lucas and slick 50 are great treatments...

The rpm's go high when driving , i changed the tranny filter and fluidsfor tranny

An now the trans slips more than before ?
Fluid changes don't repair anything,it's oil!!

If the tranny is slipping try some Lucas Tranny additive use a suction gun to take a quart of tranny fluid out then pour in a quart of Lucas it has save many cars for me and my family.
