Lots?
cruise controls have evolved now, big time.
after a few lawsuits. (ask toyota that?) Billions ! payed out.....
so what does that mean, it means read the FSM.
the FSM covers how it works.
on newer cars with Fly by wire. (throttle by wire)
the ECU (PCM) cuts the cruise dead, if the PCM seen any errors
from the 4 TPS sensors (2 on foot, 2 on the throttle body)
or if PCM sees the throttle motor mess up!
or of the PCM is in failsafe mode,
ever consider checking fuse first
then the check engine light ? glows running,
or scanning it???
cant fix cars with out a scan too. CAN"T

the above post is for relic cars... he never seen a new car.
Richards post. and videol
btw OP, this question has been asked and answered correctly like 10 times here. already.
the Cruise on new cars is 100% software.
in the old days, not. in the old days, it had Cruise parts.
no more..... that is history.

fail points
fuses:
brake switch dead. for cruise. some cars have 3 switches in one.
i have the cruise schematic here,
and its just brakes, and the throttle by wire.
that is it and software to make it all work.

ill paste the FSM page on cruise for you, 1st paragraph.

(tac = throttle by wire in english)

The Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) system is used to improve emissions, fuel economy and drivability. The TAC system eliminates the mechanical link between the accelerator pedal and the throttle plate. The TAC system eliminates the need for a cruise control module and idle air control motor. The following is a list of TAC system components:

  • The accelerator pedal assembly includes the following components:
  • The accelerator pedal
  • The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor
  • The APP sensor 2
  • Brake switch.

if the ECU/PCM thinks it can not control idle (or see braking) it will disable cruise (in software/firmware of PCM)
    that is what i does.
that way you can't lose control of car.
    and sue Suzuki."by design"

a useless Honda promo, totally. and this car is a no HONDA, not even close. the real correct answer is , check fuses, then scan the PCM for errors. there will be errors. for sure. (and the brake switch)

this car is really a Deawoo (POS)with a GM 2.0L engine.(if in usa) and the pcm is not honda, but is GM spec. ECU. btw !

SOURCE: 2007 suzuki forenza shift lever

check your owner's manual for shift interlock and how to bypass. make sure your brake lights are working. If not check for blown fuse. brake light switch failure will cause shifter interlock to not function. neutral safety switch must also be checked.

SOURCE: 2007 suzuki forenza a/c stop

  • Sounds like your AC system is out of refrigerant. You have a couple options.
  • You can get a can of R134 from the parts store and try to give your system a charge. This might get you through the summer.
  • You may have to go to a shop and have them put your AC system under a vacuum and then charge your AC system.
  • An AC system is a sealed system and well never blow warm air unless a leak develops. So be advised any charge you give your AC system is only temporary until a dye is put into the system and the leak is found and fixed.

SOURCE: where is the throttle position sensor on a 2007

on a 2006 it is on the throttle body at the throttle plate. There are actually three TPS sensors in this configuration. One attached to the gas pedal. One attached to the throtle body And, one located inside the top of the engine block. The defective TPS sensor is removable with four screws. American Suzuki has to be a pain in the *** by selling it only as part of the entire throttle body.

How do i increase the idle on a 2007 Forenza

The idle speed is controlled by the E.C.M.
It is not adjustable. Attempting to do so will void your warranty. Take your vehicle to the nearest Suzuki dealership to have your concern properly diagnosed. Suzuki does not share certain technologies such as E.C.M. reprogramming and T.C.M. reprogramming with aftermarket repair shops.
