1999 LS400 shows Check VSC and comes with VSC Off and ABS lights on.

After scanning the code, it outputs C1246 and C1223. Sometimes the light will go off, but after almost 3km driving, they come up again. I have changed 2 used ABS acuraters but still failed to eliminate the Check VSC light. Could it be not running ABS Reset or any other causes? Thanks!

SOURCE: 2007 lexus rx350 ,vsc light on and check engine light is flashing

First check and make sure your gas cap is tight, if this does not resolve the problem read below.
A vacuum hose has become disconnected, more than likely due to having your air filter replaced. The VSC and Check engine light typically don't come on until after 150-200 miles after the vacuum hose was pulled out.
The fix: on the right-hand-side of the engine compartment behind the big plastic housing that holds the air filter you will find a black rubber hose that is not connected to anything. Squeeze the finger clamp on the hose and slide the hose back onto the half inch nipple on the back of the air filter's plastic housing.
In order for the VSC and Check engine light to be turned off, you will need to open the fuse box, right-side of the engine compartment, and pull the 20 amp EFI fuse for 10 seconds. This will reset the system. The fuse location is marked on the lid of the fuse box, also I believe the EFI fuse is the only 20 amp fuse
. This will help. Thanks, please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

SOURCE: VSC/ Check Engine Light

My 2000 Lexus GS 400 just had the VSC/VSC off light and the check engine light come on. I would have to push the accelarator peddle all the way down to get it to go. Took it to the Toyota dealer and the code pulled up as the Throttle Position Sensor was out. Purchased one and having it put in. Will update if this fixes the problem.

2007 Toyota Avalon still runs C1246,P0793,B2799,P0900,C1223,C1201.

Who is "they" - who hooked up the diagnostic thingy. If "they" is an auto parts house, all they can give you is the codes. You have to have the codes interpreted and see if they are related. Don't just start throwing parts into the vehicle. The transmission shop was probably right - it's an electrical issue. You need to take your vehicle to a dealership or a qualified, experienced independent shop and invest in some diagnostics.

ENGINE CODES

Whenever engine fault codes set, VSC is disabled and lights come on. P0020 shows failing cam shaft position sensor , recommend replace clear codes and recheck. gas spill was coincidental.

Check engine light and vsc trac off lights stay on. Cannot turn svc off by pressing button on Dash

Hi, have you scanned the vehicle to see why your check engine light is on? IF no, you need to. Toyota/Lexus computer system illumniates both engine light and VSC lights whenver a fault occurs in either unit. VSC or stability control is like trac-control or ABS braking system. Get car scanned and make sure all computers are scanned for additional codes, repair them first reset lights and test drive. ON a side note, fixing check engine light will usually take VSC light away also, however sometimes the VSC system will glitch out and a Steering Angle relearn is necessary, it takes about 3mins to perform and a good quality scan tool with 2004 current software. Good Luck.

The VSC and Check engine light turn on for lexus 1999 the cood is p0500

Toyotas and Lexus cars have some unique feaures. If your fuel cap is loose or the O2 sensors on the exhaust are faulty this results in an emission problem and the engine computer unit (ECU) engages the check engine light and disables the VSC (the VSC light comes on to warn you that it has been disabled). However you have p0500 code which says the car has no speed sensor signal. The seed sensor is located on the side of the final drive from the transmission and its job is to measure the speed of rotation of the output shaft. The ECU will compare the signals from this shaft along with the speed sensors in the wheel hubs. If there is a difference between these signals the VSC is engaged to apply braking effort to which ever wheel is slipping (running faster) than the other or that the transmission speed sensor would warrant.
So you either have an emission fault has fed back to the VSC and speed sensor missing (p0500) condition, or you have a faulty sped sensor which has tripped the VSC light and in turn the CEL.
Check your fuel filler cap is on tight, turn radio off and disconnect the negative lead to the battery for 5 minutes (this should clear the ECU memory of the code error). If p0500 error and CEL and VSC lights come back on then check the electrical connection to the speed sensor. Ensure it is clean and making a good contact, check the wiring for continuity. If everything else looks good consider changing the speed sensor.

Abs and brake light on i scan it and came out with 11 codes c1185 c1198 c1194 c1254 c1246 c1250 c1242 c1214 c1210 u1260 u1262 where shou;d i begin

Start by clearing all codes and driving the van until abs light returns then scan and start with the first code that you get on scan tool. i've seen this many times where a bad speed sensor that cust drive with abs light on for a few days or week the computer begins to store all sort of codes, also be sure to check the preasure sensor on the master.

ABs VSC and Brake lights are on.

try disconnecting the negative cable on the battery for 15 minutes then reconnect do this a couple of time if not you may have a module problem being that it's not recommended to jump start a vehicle that's equipped with pcm of any kind good luck

99 LS400, VSC light goes on intermittently on start up.

Doubtful it's an intermittent electrical problem. Far more likely you've got a wheel speed sensor issue. Since VSC gets all it's information from the ABS system, start by pulling the trouble codes. I bet you'll see an ABS code. Read this post
