SOURCE: where is the horn located on a 1998 ford explorer

The horn is usually between the radiator and grill Assembly. The fuse is in fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side. Look at the lid and it shows the fuse placement and there use.

Ford explorer with horn not working at all not even keyless entry and fuse is fine

The horn itself is often the culprit. They can be temperamental. Easy way to check is to run 12V directly to the horn and see if it works. If it does, and the fuse is good, look to the horn relay.

HORN DOES NOT WORK ON 2002 FORD EXPLORED XLT. WHERE IS THE HORR / RELAY LOCATED? THANK YOU,

Check on Passenger Compartment Panel, position 6, 10AMP (right horn) and on the Power Distribution Center (underhood) position 28, 20AMP (horn relay).

Additional details could find in the 2002-Ford-Explorer owners manual (page 229 and next).

I am trying to replace horns but i canot find thim

This might sound silly, but if the horns make any sound at all, even a faint clicking, you could locate them by sound (unless you are deaf, in which case I am not sure how you would know they don't work). The horns are in the front, behind the bumper. Good luck! :-) Oh, one other option: find someone with a similar vehicle, and have them blow the horn while you look to see where the sound comes from. If you are deaf, then you blow the horn and have them look for the horn. :-)

Horns blares continuously when key is removed from ignition!

Locate the fuse for the horn and see if nothing else is ran off the same fuse then remove the fuse.

Replaced relays and ckecked fuses horn not working 1996explorer

with the horn you can run a wire from the battery to the horn to check it if that dosent work then it is probably the contact wire inside the steering column, I cant remember the name of the part but this should fix the horn and cruise problem.

My horn on a 1998 ford zx2 has stopped working. The fuse is fine.

The horn(s) burn out very easily, also there is a relay, press the horn button repeatedly and listen for a click noise (it may be under hood), if you don't hear it the relay may be at fault, if you do the horn is burned out, not uncommon.
