SOURCE: how do i replace the pcv valve on a 2000 explorer xlt v6 sohc?

On the passenger side of the intake manifold, coming off the bottom about the center of the engine front to back, you'll feel a hose that comes off a nipple. That hose makes a 90 degree bend and goes around to the rear of the motor. Where that hose meets the Y-connector from the other side of the intake you'll find the PCV valve. It's almost impossible to see it with the hood installed, and even tougher to reach it.

I had same problem on my 2002 explorer. Its either the computer module, or the electric solenoid on the transfer case. In my case it was both. The computer module I had done twice in 14 months.

I have a 2004 ford explorer xlt v6 4.0l gas. need a o2 sensor diagram. I need names and description. for example bank 1 sensor 2 after catalytic converter

Hope this helps

Bank two are the even cylinders. Follow exhaust manifold on the side. You will find an O2 sensor just after or on the manifold, before the catalytic converter. Then, look after the catalytic and you should find another O2 sensor, this is the one you mention in your post.

Stalls intermittently, wrench icon lights up under tach.

Problem with the electronic throttle control .
It should be noted that the ETC system includes a wrench light on the instrument cluster that illuminates when a fault is detected. Faults are also accompanied by DTCS and the "Check Engine Soon" light. Your best bet is to take your vehicle to a reputable ASE certified repair shop .
Overview The Generation II (Gen II) Torque Based Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) is a hardware and software strategy that delivers a transmission output shaft torque (via throttle angle) based on driver demand (pedal position). It utilizes an electronic throttle body, the PCM and a accelerator pedal assembly to control throttle opening and engine torque. The ETC system basically replaces the standard cable operated accelerator pedal, idle air control (IAC) motor, 3-wire throttle position sensor (TPS) and mechanical throttle body .

STALLS WHEN STARTED UNLESS I PRESS GAS

the iac code has nothing to do with the maf . the maf is your mass air flow sensor and it is in the air tube going to the throttle body. the iac is your idle air control valve that is in the throttle body next to the throttle position sensor

I have a 93' Ford Explorer 4x4, the only way the the trans. will shift is by pressing the gas pedal, i added half a quart of fluid and it still does it. What would cause this?

check your kickdown cable which is usualy connected to the throttle plate next to the accelerator cable. It mustn't be too slack or too tight

When i turn the air on it doesn't flow from the front vents.

Sounds like the switch or actuator is not operating. Some vehicles have mechanical operators, and some have vacuum actuators. If a vacuum line is loose, it will not actuate.
