Mate, Maybe you should pull a spark plug out, Plug it back into the spark plug lead and earth it to the body to see if there's a spark when you turn the motor, If it sparks then it's a fuel problem If no spark then it's coil (electrical) /// I had trouble with a bad connection in the coil wiring harness, after the motor cut out as I was driving I'd move the harness around and would get spark.... Nick, I would start with the easiest things first and do a simple elimination until you figure out exactly why it won't start. #1 Spark plugs. #2 Spark plug wires. #3 ignition coils.#4 air/fuel filter. #5 Fuel injectors. #6 Fuel pump. #7 Electronic control module(ECM)/computer. If these things I have stated are replaced with new, then there is no reason it shouldn't start. I gave you this list as easiest to hardest to replace. You may find that the problem is only with the spark plugs, then obviously you have detected the issue and do not need to continue replacing components. I hope this helps, and good luck. ^^

SOURCE: car not starting

I had this same problem about 3 weeks ago. The battery only had 10 volts (it's supposed to have 12). So it was enough power to turn on the lights on the dashboard, but not enough to turn over the car. It was a duralast battery, I took it to Autozone. The battery had a lifetime warranty and since it only lasted like 2 years, they replaced it for free.

SOURCE: step by step instuctions on how to do oil change

Before attempting this locate the oil filter and be sure YOU can access it comfortably with a filter wrench.
You will also need to locate the drain plug on the lowest portion of the underside of the engine oil pan. The plug likely has an Allen key insert so be certain you have the correct wrench to match, along with matching filter and oil pan plug seal..
Rotate the plug counter clockwise to loosen. I change and drain mine with the oil filler cap off so air can help the drainage. Then I unscrew the filter and reinstall a fresh one being certain the gasket are is clean on the engine surface.
Reinstall fresh filter hand tight, two hands. Install drain plug by hand so as not to cross thread with a fresh seal if required, hand tighten with wrench. Then fill resevoir with at least 4 ltrs recommended oil checking dipstick so as not to overfill.
After starting check for any drips of clean fresh oil;

Sounds more like the Alternator or Voltage regulator is not charging the battery correctly. Have the Alternator checked. If you remove it and take it to Auto Zone or Advance Auto they should be able to test it for you.

2005 Pajero not starting

Go back to basics. This will sound silly but is there fuel in the tank? That one's got me more than once. What Exactly does it do when you crank it over? A lazy , slow crank is most likely the battery is low or weak. Cranking and not trying to start is commonly a spark issue. Cranking and trying to start but stalling out suggests a fuel supply issue.

Cutlass ciera wont start

Does the starter spin the motor at normal cranking speed? If there seems too much friction, try turning the engine over by hand to check if the engine turns freely. Put a socket and wrench on the center crankshaft pulley bolt and turn clockwise. If you cannot turn the crankshaft with a wrench easily, then the starter can't either. Turn the crank all the way around to check for something preventing cranking.
Is the battery still enough power to crank at normal speed? If it's already too low, recharge it, and try again.

07 lexus rx350 slow to start after sitting over night. Once it cranks it is back to normal.

If it turns over hard in the morning then either something is staying on and draining the battery or the battery is nearing the end of its life. Check things like the glovebox light, trunk light for staying on. Simply remove the bulbs and see if that helps. If not , you should pick up a new battery.

If it turns over good the problem would be either the cold start system or your fuel system is losing pressure overnight. This would require furthur diagnosis. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with my 2007 RX350. Had the tires replaced under warranty because of this roaring noise and still had the same problem. Replaced the original equipment brand tires with a set of new michelins and the noise went away. This was 10,000 miles ago.

Random clicking noise when key is engaged but stops

The sound is a relay switching over when you insert the key and power the vehicles accesories. It is a normal sound, but whatever that relay powers may fail soon. It sounds like the small electromagnet inside won't hold the voltage, hence the clicking sound.
