The door locks on my vehicle are acting up. Every time I come to a complete stop and start up again the door locks click on and off.

The year is 2000. Now one of the doors double clicks several times and it will not lock anymore. One of the other doors you have to manually unlock and then push it down to get it to lock. How do I fix this?

This could be a break in the wiring loom normally on the drivers door as this door is opened and closed most frequently its normally in the section between the door post and door inside a rubber sheath check all the wires for condition and continuity.

This is usually a fault with the master lock , the one that sends signal to the others , usually this is the drivers door lock , to check the master lock will have 5 wires and the "slave" locks only 3 wires , so replacing the master lock , as repairing is not economical or impossible just do a few electrical checks before changing ie check for power to and from lock , earth and wire condition etc

Ssanyong Korando door locking problem.

What year is this vehicle? I'm assuming this is when your using the remote. If door locks click back to unlocked it is commonly an issue with one of the door latch switches not reading the door/trunk as closed. Depending on the age of your vehicle it possibly could be the driver's door as that is the most used door latch.

Hi Cindy, I'm glad to help! Here's something you can try, it works on most vehicles. While the alarm is sounding, turn the key in the drivers door several times and see if it stops. If it doesn't and you have a lock cylinder in the liftgate, turn the key several times in the liftgate lock and see if it stops. If it doesn't, try the key in the passenger lock cylinder if it has one. If this doesn't work try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 20 seconds then reconnect it. If the alarm is still sounding then try the doors again, if it still doesn't stop then you'll need to take it to the repair shop. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Cindy!

Yes it's likely the fuel pump. If that was the first time the filter was changed and it really needed it, it usually causes the pump to fail. It's in the gas tank.

the first suspect is the igniton switch. when this happens, take the ign key and just barlely turn it, either way, not enough to go off/on just a little tweak, it the lights come back on or flicker, that ign switch will need replacement.

you can try switching the key to the "on" position then open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and reconnect after 2minutes. this will allow the alarm to be '"reset" and will recognize that you have the key for the vehicle.
