SOURCE: is it possible to adjust a throttle position sensor on a 2000 montero sport?

when your vehical throws a code and you replace the defective part, you must clear the code or the ecm will still recognize it as an active code.

SOURCE: where is throttle position sensor located on 2000 honda passport

Normally attached at opposite end of throttle linkage. Remove your air cleaner intake hose at throttle body, and observe throttle plate that opens & closes as you press accelerator, it will be at the end of that, on outside of housing.

Where is the throttle position sensor located on a 2000 ford expedition xlt

The TPS is located on the side of the throttle body closest to the front of the vehicle. There are two electrical units attached to the throttle body the other being the IAC or idle air control. The IAC is usually a cylindrical object about 3" long and 1 1/4" in diameter.

The engine light comes on and the reduced power is activated ,there sensors were tripped all to do with the throttle . the auto shop ended up replacing the throttle body and the problem just happend again...

I'd bring it back to the shop that put in the throttle body and have them check to see if the replacement was defective or failed. If not, you may have a bad throttle position sensor [part of the gas pedal] I'm assuming it worked fine for a while after the repairs with no problems then suddenly started acting up again. I've replaced a bunch of throttle bodies but only one position sensor so far. There's always the chance that there's a bad wire somplace or some other more exotic problem but I'll bet you'll find it at either the sensor or throttle body. Good luck, hope this helps!

The check engine throttle light came on and my vehicle wouldn't move or anything. first time this has happened. what's wrong with it and what do i need to do to fix it

Sounds like a Throttle Position Sensor. Don't let a Dealer tell you that the whole throttle body needs to go. I just looked up a Motorcraft TPS sensor yesterday for a 2006 Expedition. Amazon, free shipping $59.91. Auto parts store $65 to $75. Two T-20 Torx screws and a 10 min job.If that is your issue. Should at least put a scanner on it, to check the code that set that light. Expect more of those type of check lights as it gets older.

My 2000 ford expedition will not pass smog test due to P0102 code causing the service engen soon light to stay on I think it might be the mass air flow circut dose that sound right if so isis that circut...

The mass air flow sensor is in the air intake between the filter and throttle body. The filter is in one half of the air box and the sensor is in the other. You should have a wire harness running out the bottom and a connector toward the top. When you split the chamber to access the air filter, tip up the half to your left and you will see it. Sometimes you can get by with cleaning it, but you may not have a permanent fix. You must ONLY use a cleaner that does not leave ANY residue, such as brake cleaner. Make sure the connector is fully engaged, and check for bent or pushed back pins. Sometimes the pin locks in the hardshell were never fully engaged and the pin connectors push out the back of the plastic hardshell connector. Hope you save some cash on this one. I realize how costly repairs are these days. Well wishes.
