My Bluetooth module on my 2005 X-Type SE has stopped working. My radio began to turn off and then back on after approx 30sec. Then it went off completely. The phone menu has now dissapeared and has been replaced with 'Phone kit not fitted' on the screen. Any ideas of what I need to do. Thanks.

You need a Motorolla Star Tac mobile phone out of the ark (eBay used to have them at £146!) and a Jaguar celluar phone installation kit. Not worth it at all ....

SOURCE: Bluetooth Expert cant get the 2007 Jaguar S-type Bluetooth workin

Is your bluetooth in Jaguar discoverable to devices?

I would suggest the Jaguar may not be transmitting a signal - In the 2007 Model X Type - There is a specific code ##3#*# Followed by Call button - Which then changes from Phone to SIG *****

Have you tried the above? The Quickguide Jaguar Manual does offer the code specific to Make of Car - It is near the last page of the book.

SOURCE: jaguar x type bluetooth

If your car has the Bluetooth phone option fitted (most models with the touch screen 2006 onwards do) You may get the message SIG instead of Phone connected.

Please see http://www.blujag.co.uk for detailed bluetooth instructions.

first i would check the alternator just to be on the safe side sounds just like the problem or the brain or body control module went haywire on and sometimes a battery will show that is good untill you actually use it might get a good diagnose from a local shop - dealer etc.

That means that your car wasn't fitted with bluetooth module from factory. You can purchase at dealer but you're talking around $1k and from what I hear isn't the greatest.

I got a visor mounted blue tooth speaker from Motorola that works great in my 2005 S-Type.

Stereo stopped working along with speedometer

It's probably not a fuse. It sounds like your vehicle speed sensor went bad in the transmission. The reason your radio stopped working was because your radio is probably equipped with speed sensitive volume and it requires a speed signal to work.

Software upgrade for 2005 Range Rover Bluetooth module

Official LRNA solution: buy a new module. I will be doing this tomorrow. I have been through this comprehensively with LR Dallas and LRNA. There may well have been other modules installed depending on when the Rover was built, but mine is not flashable. BTW, when plugged in, the dealer computer checks your Rover for updated software, which is downloaded from LRNA every night.

Jaguar s type telephone bluetooth

When I went to the Jaguar dealership the dealer (Farmingtonhills of Michigan Jaguar dealership)told me that only either 2005 or it was 2006 and better are the only autos with this function. I have a 2004 and I wanted to do the same thing. There might be another solution that I did not think of untill I left, asking them if it possible to install a bluetooth package. This might be possible, but for those of us that have a 2005 and lower model they did not come with this feature.

2005 chevy impala ignition

on some GM cars you couldn't just replace the radio with an after market, because the radio is also part of the computer, controls the theft system and the door locks and much more, you have to buy an extra adapter that bypasses the old module, otherwise it will lock the car down, you should try to put the old unit back in and if the car starts up like it should, if it does you need to go to a larger radio shop and ask for the bypass module for the radio i think its like 60 or 70 dollars
