SOURCE: Toyota V6 3400 Need to know where fuel regulator

The fuel pressure regulator is on the driver side fuel rail, close to the back of the engine. You need to pull the intake plenum off to access the pressure regulator.

The normal operating fuel pressure is 38 to 44 PSI

SOURCE: where is located the fuel pump of 1986 Toyota Camry and the price

It's inside the gas tank. Took me about 20 minutes to drop the tank. 2 bolts that hold it up and undid 2 small bolts on the heat flange that seemed in the way. You should also take out the one small bolt on the driver side holding the brake cable up. You have to anyway to get the tank back in.
I got a pump online for $50. Pump only and it took about 10 minutes this morning to put it in the original bracket out of my fuel tank. So I say go with pump motor only and save big bucks.
TIP: For those of you who want to check if its your fuel pump or fuel relay. There are 2 easy places to do this. One is at the gas tank itself. Under the car they dropped the wiring harness down and put a connector in a bracket on the back of the gas tank. The second one is behind the rear seat back. Lift out the bottom seat pushing the 2 levers and then there are 2 bolts to take out to remove the rear seat back. Then you will see a connector on the passenger side up high. You can use either of these connectors to check if you got power when the key hits the start (engine cranking) position. If you do the relay is good. You can run power from a battery/charger to the fuel pump and see if it works.

SOURCE: Where is the fuel pump located. 1986 Toyota 4x4 PU 22RE

The fuel pump for your truck is in the gas tank. They cost about $142 at Autozone. It's not that hard if you have a basic ability with tools and a little help to raise and lower the tank. Of course you'll need to drain the tank before you start.

Im working on a 1986 toyota pickup 2.4l efi non turbo 4x4 i replaced the head gasket and i have a black wire coming from the intake wiring harness that has no plug on it .if i touch this wire to a hot wire...

Sounds like this wire should operate the electric fuel pump through the fuel pump relay.The fuel pump relay should start the fuel pump to maintain fuel supply to the common fuel rail and any surplus fuel will be bleed back to tank by pressure control.The injector opening sequence is contolled by computer once the engine is properly timed.
If you say the engine runs for a few seconds it would indicate fuel pump or relay is not getting power to operate or fuel pump is not delivering enough pressure to feed the injectors

My 1986 Toyota 4x4 won't fire up

you will need to drain the fuel in the tank and replace the fuel filter and plugs after a couple years the fuel will go bad and it will plug the filter and foul the plugs if you do those 3 things and in that order it should start it is important even though you have good fuel pressure that you replace the filter to prevent damage too your injectors

1986 Toyota 4X4 22r Engine

Hello;
It sounds as if you have a couple of possible problems. First could be the fuel pump. If yoou disconnect the fuel line, put the line in a jar and crank the engine over, you should get a pint in 15 seconds or so. Also check the pressure, should have around 5 psi. Secondly, you may have a vacuum hose cracked, broken, or leaking. Check your hoses and also the carbureator for leaks.
Hope this helps;
Thanks;
