LED,s use different power consumption a normal globe. The brake lights on your car may use the same power supply as the airbag system. Try putting the original standard globe back in. If the airbag light goes out, then that will be the problem. you will not therefore be able to use the LED in that brake light.
Testimonial: "Thank you for your answer. However I still wish to use LEDS not only were described but the headlights and taillight a also. What about using a resistor that mimics the load of the standard incandescent bulbs thus fooling the monitoring system? Clearly a small current is constantly run thru the bulbs in order to check the health of the bulbs when the ignition is on. I'm thinking this would work it's just a matter of figuring out what size resistor to use?"

I agree with your conclusion and need to see if all the lights are on the same circuit. What is a good source for an electrical schematic for my truck?
Ive just had a quick look on line for you and couldnt find anything. Maybe someone on fixya has access to a wiring diagram, otherwise it will mean getting a workshop maual from a parts store or Dealer. These books normally have wiring diagrams in them. Sorry I cant help much more than that. The only Seira ive heard of in Australia was a Suzuki that came out about 15 years ago. I dont think Ford sell them over here.
