You can't just disconnect the anti-theft system ! . If the modules on the vehicle don't receive a coded response form the anti-theft system the vehicle will not work , no start ! This coded response is send on the class 2 serial data communication bus to the PCM - engine computer , if it doesn't see it the fuel system , fuel injectors won't be turned on ! an in some cases the engine won't even crank over !
I have read of a way to by pass the system ! If you google GM vats an pass key by pass , you will see how to do it . Don't know if this works or not ! Haven't tried it !

ensure coil is correctly connected, battery is okay? If the coil gives no power and is correctly connected it will need to be replaced

Yes, you need to find the positive wire to the side light circuit, from the alarm and try splicing into it, and then to the horn circuit.
You need to be sure that this wire doesn't also become positive when the side lights are switched manually though.

You have to disconnect the battery in order for the compressor to come on so it will take in freon. The compressor is controlled by the computer so disconnect the battery to reset the computer than try putting in freon. hope this helps leave comment.

Battery was dead and had to jump start and then the car did start OK, but then the car alarm came on and now won't shut off!!! This car was bought used and has no key fob...just the key with the chip...

it will need it to be disconnected. have a shop or alarm shop disconnect it, wires may have to be spliced back together for everything to work properly, you cant just unplug it.

1996 Eldorado shuts off while driving when brakes are pressed.

Our 96 eldorado used to do the same thing. After trying everything and several mechanics, we decided to take it to a cadillac dealer. They said it was the battery that was not generating enough power to operate some switch. Changed the battery - voila - no more problem! Hope this helps you.
