Where can i get steeper motors for 2000 silverado.?all listings are for 2003 and up

Motor relay circuit this is for the ABS, you will need ot restore the third eye brake light and check fuse in the engine junction fuse box, (cigarette lighter fuse) make sure it didnt open

GM had gauge cluster problems from 2000-2005. Bad stepper motors. On those units you have to replace the cluster or rebuild it with new stepper motors.

Common problem on the 03-06 Silverado instrument clusters for the fuel gauge to go out. It's usually caused by one of two main problems, either the stepper motor on the cluster's circuit board is going out or the sending unit on the fuel pump is going out. tempertaure resistor need to replaced , located near the blower motor.

Turn the ignition key to the RUN position. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If the CHANGE OIL SOON light flashes 2 times, the system is reset. However if the light comes on and stays on for 5 seconds, the system did not reset. Repeat the procedure if the system does not reset.

Check the fuse box there should be a fuse and a relay for this motor. Lets hope its one of thouse cus if its not then its the motor it self.

Chanses are its the resister, it should be located by the heater motor, most are above heater box behind glove box.

replacement is the only long term solution.
