Buy a light tester first
Connect gator clip to a positive wire battery is best now touch metal this will show ground
Now pull lamp out
Check the wire connections
If no light comes on tester your ground is bad
You can cut wire splice and ground chassis
But always check fuses first
This is how you find grounds
If you installed radio or new electronics
They could have spliced into the ground for lamps
The light switch on dash is another place grounds go bad
Light tester is what you need
Everything else is simple

You can try to re torque the bolts before you drop the pan and re place the gaskit if that is where your leak is coming from. Good luck and hope you don't have to drop the oil pan.
