Hi MIchelle
It is common problem on VW. you have to take the oil sump off and clean the oil pump suction filter, refill with fresh oil, fit new oil filter.
obviously it is not a DIY job.
Good Luck

First check the oil level. pull out dipstick with engine off, wipe, and re-"dip" it to see . If the level is O.K., it may be serious . See a mechanic.

SOURCE: oil pressure light comes on when I put the car in motion (at about 2000 rpms)

all turbo engines have a oil line to the turbo. If it is not getting oil the turbo will burn up and have to be replaced. Change your oil and filter to start with.

SOURCE: Oil Engine Light turned on and beeped after it reached 1200 rpm and then the clicking noise

have you done an oil change lately? If so did you doit yourself or was it done by a shop? I would check to see that the corret oil has been used fior your vehicle, I would also double check that the correct oil filter has been used. also on the open end of the oil filter that attaches to the car is a rubber " O " ring, I would remove the filter that is on there now and check to see that the O-ring from the old filter was not left behind.

SOURCE: 1999 Volkswagon beetle turbo diesel injection pump

Was any work just done to this car? Timing belt? It is rare that these pumps go bad but I have seen a few shell out. If you are not familiar with the ALH diesel engine I would not try to replace it. You should take it to a shop that specializes in VW's.

What would cause my 1999 volkswagon beetle oil light to come on and beep when I just had the oil changed about a couple of months ago?

It could be time for another oil change or your oil level could be low. Check your mileage and see if its time for another oil change. Hope this helps.

2002 volkswagon beetle says that the trunk is when not.

The switch in the trunk which tells the alarm that the trunk lid is closed is either defective or not correctly adjusted. If this info is of no help to you, than you don't know enough to fix it. Take it to a reputable VW shop for repair.
