Sounds like auto transmission 'slipping'. Take car to dealer or trans shop for band adjustment

  • robert Mar 31, 2015

I am assuming you have checked your trans fluid level and it is at correct level? Check when car has been driven some, running in park.

SOURCE: 2001 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 V6 Oil Burning and motor tapping loudly

Do a compression test on all the cylinders and see if the rocker arms are adjusted to the right. If the compression is bad then there will be no power at all and if the Rocker arms need adjustments you could be losing some power there too.
You can try cleaning out the engine from the inside out. I have done this many times when I buy a use car. I run Marvel Mystery Oil with the engine oil for about 4 months and keep an eye on the oil level. Marvel is a thinner oil and clean out the inside by removing the carbon collected and oil sludge inside the engine.
You may end up having to replace the oil pressure sensor, it seams to always be the first to go bad and may get some oil leaks. But once the engine is cleaned up you'll have a better understanding on the condition on the engine and be surprised on how well it runs after.
Just keep an eye on the oil level and change the oil and filter to free up the engine, then use the recommended oil and add Lucas oil and or Restor to help the loose of compression.
The loud tapping tells me that your not getting the oil to the top of the engine and that may be a bad oil pump but it may also be a plugged oil pump screen and the Marvel Mystery oil will clean up the oil screen.
Good luck and hope this helps, Keep me posted on your Rodeo.

SOURCE: 1997 Isuzu Rodeo, 4.2L All windows stopped working!!!

all windows controlled from the drivers door...if you have someone in the family with BIG fists have them stand beside the drivers door panel and putting the **** against the door, SLAM their fist into the door panel right under the switches. Take a can of WD-40 and spray ALOT directly around the switches in the door using the little red hose WD40 gives you. GM's are known for carbon-tracking their door mechanisms...build up over the years...sometime banging the door knocks the buildup loose allowing the circuit to work.

SOURCE: i need a pedal position sesor 4 my 01 isuzu rodeo

Probably you mean a throttle position sensor commonly referred to as a TPS. They frequently go bad. Google "Isuzu TPS" for location diagrams and other info. Once installed, there are likely to be adjustments needed that require equipment. Any Isuzu dealer should have one in stock.

Where is the 01 and 02 sensors located on a 1999 isuzu rodeo?

I don't know what an "01 Sensor" is, but the O2 sensors which sense oxygen (O2) in the emissions are located on the exhaust pipes behind the engine and before the mufflers. If you have a V6 engine, there will be a total of 4 O2 sensors, 2 on each side of the exhaust system. You will need an open ended wrench to remove the old ones as you need to be able to get around the sensor and the wire that goes to it. Unplug the connector before loosening the sensor, it'll be easier than twisting the cable/wire until the sensor come out. You may need some WD-40 also to loosen up the sensor if they've been there a long time, but don't start your vehicle until the WD-40 or whatever you use dries off. It could ignite from the heat in the exhaust pipe when the engine is running.

I hit the panic button, now my ac, windows, and turn signals stopped working

I did not hit the panic button on my vehicle, but my ac, windows and turn signals stopped working all together. You need a new alternator. And more joyful news, you might need a new battery as well. I had a Rodeo. It was wonderful. I shuttled my kids and husband around in it.

Want to get it right the first time..

try checking the fluid level in the gearbox, rodeo dont have a dipstick so u have to undo the plug on the side of the gearbox just like a manual gearbox.if the oil is really low i suggest doing a full service on the gearbox, change the oil and filter is ideal for better results.
