SOURCE: replace front brake pads on 1990 camry

when you take the tire off make sure the car is properly sitting on a car stand.. cut your steering wheel so you can see what your doing.. there should be two long bolts that you can see that go threw one side of the capilar to the other it should be a hex bolt or allan bolt. most of th time you have to go buy the wrench from the dealer. after you take those out you'll see a little thing that looks like the inflater for a bicycle tire.. you need to open that up a little. that's were your brake fluid will come out of.. now with a tire iron stick it between the two calipars and push them apart with a steady motion once you have got them apart close that little ***. then pull the whole thing off the wheel. you can put your new pads of then. good--luck ray

SOURCE: how do you take the front caliper off a 1990

You can sometime just pull it off but sometimes you will need to take a screwdriver and push the brake pad back on the caliber piston side. This will force the piston back and allow you to remove the caliber. After you remove it you will need to compress the caliber piston fully back in order to allow room the install the new pads and get them back on the rotor. Sometimes you can fully compress it while the caliber is still installed. On some vehicles like Honda you need a special tool in order to compress the caliber. Most auto parts stores will lend you the tool if you buy the pads from them. Be sure and loosen the master cylinder fill cap to allow the brake fluid to expand in the master cylinder. Clean everything off with spray brake cleaner before installing the new pads and clean the new pads throughly. Be sure and install pads in pairs. Do both front wheels or both back wheels not just one.

How do you replace a bumper bar ....do you need a whole new skirt

Bumper bar? Skirt?
There is a bumper reinforment behind the bumper cover.
Front or rear???
Either way there are some plastic retainers on top. You may need to remove a grill which would have some sort of retainer. The retainers usually have a center section that prys up some and the retainer will then pull out.
There should also be some retainers on the undersides of the bumper covers.
There is just about always a bolt going up through the bumper cover into the rear quater panel or front fender right in the wheel well edge. Sometimes there is a guide that the cover slide onto as well. You may need to remove the tail lights. There will be nuts on the inside behind the trim panels or the headlights. they usually have some clearly seen bolts holding them in (about 4 give or take)
Unplug any lights and they can usually be left in the bumper cover.
Then off comes the cover.
From there you may find a styrofoam pad. Don't lose that as it helps the cover keep its shape in the heat. And either the reinforment will be bolted or welded to the frame rails.

Hadlight fixture removal

if im not mistaken, its going to be a little tricky to do with the front bumper on. but you should have 2 10mm bolts on the top, take them out. if it has the removable side marker light, take the small screw out of the top, and remove it. you will have to take the bumper loose on the ends, then pull it out torwards you and down. you should find another bolt going through the fender into the headlamp, at the front of the fender behind the bumper. then there is another bolt at the front of the lamp under it, behind the bumper. its kinda tough to get to. unplug it and try to worm it out. the easiest way is to have the bumper off. but that is only an option if you cant get to the bolts w/o messing something up.
