I SUGGEST that you go to a performance car dealer and have them to hook up a wide band air/fuel gauge, then go drive record the bucking air/fuel ratio,if the air/fuel ratio goes like 9 to 10check your ignition system hope this helps

You nailed it. Car seems to be running fine since the air/fuel ratio was corrected. Thank you!

Start by first checking your cars motor and tranny mounts sounds like the transmission is moving back and fourth as you accelerate and shift gears maybe due to a broken mount or more than one, hope that helps try there first. Broken Rear Engine Mount Camry V6 heres a link on youtube check it out good luck

I appreciate your help. The engine mounts are OK, but this is something I should keep in mind. I have had car since it was new. It only has 73,000 miles, but I have had other issues with the age of the vehicle.

2008 toyota Camry manual hard shifting from 1st to 2nd gear

With the engine off see if the shift between 1st to 2nd feel,s free if not it could be the cable check the clutch is disengageing all the way it should go into reverse without crunching, other then that it could be a synchro ring worn check that the gearbox has the right oil in it.

1999 Toyota Camry: Transmission issue: When it changes from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd, it jerks. Is my trans about to go out or what?

after checking fluid level,as per the book, the only reason to be jerky is a harsh driving style(small engine/big car).try stopping, then without using the gas let the car accelerate to top gear, then try 1/2 throttle, again from stop,to see the difference between gear changes......you will see what i mean ..

My transmission will not go in 2 and 3 gear

If this vehicle is a stick, then you have either a problem with the shifter or the gearing for 2nd & 3rd gear. Either way this is a transmission rebuild.

If this vehicle is an automatic could be the shifter or vss malfunction or power train module (PTM) ( which would give you a check engine code) or something in the 2nd & 3rd gear circuitry. With exception of the vssand any electrical items , all other items would probably require a rebuild.

Either way Manual or Automatic have a certified Transmission specialist diagnosis it and repair it. They can be tricky and costly for a DIYer.

Usually burnt and discolored ATF mean pump or torque converter not doing there job or bands and clutches are worn. Shift solinoid or a pressure problem is the problem with 2nd and 3rd gear, Take it to a transmission shop and have them look it over but like I said earlierdiscolored ATF could mean a rebuild.

Loss of power on acceleration from a stop

I would think its a transmission problem. have you tried shifting it manually. starting out in low or 1st gear then 2nd and then drive?
