The easiest way to me is to remove the bumper and then the headlight is held in with 3 small bolts. Remove them, then the bulbs are easily accessible.

You *might* be able to snake your hands in behind the headlight but you will curse a lot. It also help to know exactly how it looks in the back (maybe google some pictures of the back of the headlight) so you know how to reach and untwist the little bulb holder.

Or drive in to the dealership and ask them to replace the bulb for you. Sometimes they just do it then and there.

SOURCE: 2002 Volvo V70, left turn signal will quick flash, rt side works

this issue appears many times because the wrong wattage bulb was used. the system measures the amperage flow to the individual bulb. if it falls outside the factory range ,, the indicator light will come on. I had a 1990 volvo myself. had a terrible time keeping good tail lights in that ****** but ABSOLUTELY loved that car. loved it so much I bought another (1998) model. it just wasnt the same driving experience as the 90 model though.
hope this helps...

My left turn signal was flashing fast. I checked bulb in back left. Turn signal good but bulb below it was out. I changed that one but turn signal still flashing fast. all other bulbs look good. ??

If the front and rear bulbs flash fast also, replace the hazard switch or you could live with it. As they are working. If one doesn't work, check grounds. I just run a new ground, much easier than cutting open the harness to find the break.

Fast flashing turn signals

I would change out the turn signal bulb on the right front. A blown bulb can cause the fast flash issue. The signals staying on is not related to the bulb being blown. That is most likely a problem with the multifunction switch, the knob you use to signal.
