My cars radio can't find stations, this just started a few weeks ago.

Everything else works fine on the radio assembly, I've even bought a replacement OEM radio and the same thing occurs. Upon disassembly all cords appear intact and in place, I also checked the antenna which is securely threaded. What should I look for? Thanks

Hi, usually with the solenoid on its way out it needs prodding. Now its finally packed up. Needs replacing (suggest you attend to asap) ie. The solenoid only( can be bought at most automotive spare shops). All the luck.

Intermittent problem starting 2002 volvo s60.

the symtoms you describe sounds like a battery fault. but if you have had the battery properley tested and is good then you either have something discharging the battery intermittantly ie. trunk light staying on or a high resistance in the main battery leads or earth connections

Sounds like a case of selling a car, when the problems
become too stressfull & you bought it

Your shop tried but may not have been
in the upper 10% skill wise

Need the best place around & a
fresh start.

I think they had the battery disconnected
& ran out of knowledge when it can time to
give you the car back.

I won't even guess without the car to test

My backlighting bulbs in the radio have burned out. How do I relace them?

YOU MORE LIKELY HAVE TO REMOVE RADIO TO GET TO THE BULBS.I WOULD LET THE DEALERSHIP FIX WHEN YOU REMOVE RADIO BY IT BEING PART OF THE ANTI THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM YOUR CAR WILL GO IN THEFT MODE KEEP CAR FROM STARTING.AND THE AIR BAG IN DASH.THIS IS DANGEROUS JOB TO FIX YOURSELF.

Starting problem

Hello LostLynne.
The most common issue is a bad contact in the starter solenoid.
This solenoid is part of the starter assembly and makes the high amperage battery to starter connection
When you hear the click the solenoid is activating but not completing the battery to starter contact.
If this is an original starter or been on for a long time I would suggest changing the starter assembly.
Also in your under hood fuse/relay panel there is a smaller relay that activates the starter solenoid that should be checked before replacing the starter. Although less common for that to happen it does occasionally cause a problem. Easy to replace too.
If you have further questions please ask me.

This sounds like you may have a starter issue. Have someone in the vehicle to try cranking and hold it in this position. You go underneath and attempt to tap the starter with a small hammer to see if it frees it up. If it does, replace your starter. Let me know if you need anything further.

Electrical problems

I have, when I first bought my 02 Liberty. It ended up being a faulty ECU. ECU is the computer brain that controls the whole car. I had it replace and it never happened again.
