My engine management light is on, Toyota Prius 2004?
Engine management light is illuminated, car runs but does not go into electric mode as the engine does not cut out.....even if stationary? Is it still safe to drive?

STOP engine light. There is something seriously wrong so do not operate/drive the vehicle before finding and repairing whatever is causing this light to come on!
This could be related to the alternator not working as the electric system fails. How does the car run? If it is rough then it could be engine trouble, otherwise alternator or electrical drain.
It means Master Warning Light. It illuminates when there is any malfunction in the engine and/or the hybrid system of the vehicle. When the master warning light illuminates, it become necessary to get the car be scanned thoroughly for malfunctions.
P0A93 is an inverter cooling problem. The inverter is cooled by a dedicated cooling system, which consists of an electric water pump, cooling fan, and radiator. This cooling system is independent of the engine cooling system.The mechanic should check if there is sufficient amount of coolant for the inverter, check if the coolant hose is not bent or clogged, if the water pump / cooling fan motor connections are ok, and of course if both of the cooling fan motors are OK
Gauge light illuminates when the ignition is switched on. It should extinguish as soon as the engine starts.
If it illuminates with the engine running, it indicates a
malfunction with the engine management system. Have this checked as
soon as possible.
If it flashes when driving, reduce the vehicle speed immediately
until the light illuminates constantly. If it continues to flash, avoid
heavy acceleration and high engine speed, stop the vehicle and have it
checked immediately.
On some vehicles this light may be red – again stop the vehicle and seek assistance.
If it is safe to do so, try stopping the vehicle, switching off the
engine, wait two minutes, then restarting the engine to reset the
engine management system. With the light illuminated, the vehicle is still safe to
drive as long as no other faults are apparent with the engine. Have the
vehicle checked by a dealer or garage as soon as possible to avoid any
damage being caused to the catalytic converter.
