I have a 2009 corrolla when the engine is cold or has not been running for couple of hours. It will make a grinding noise when you start the engine, it only lasts 1-2 seconds

No idea without hearing it to be honest but if you suspect the engine and not the gearbox then try adding a can of STP or wynns oil additive and see if this stops the noise ,if it does then you know that you have a oil pressure relief valve problem as the engine is not holding oil in the filter and its all running back into sump ,but a grinding noise ?? could be a bearing on teh timing belt or something and without hearing the noise i just couldnt tell you

How can i identify where my timing belt is on my 2009 toyota corrolla/

Timing belt is on the front of the engine inside timing cover. This is not a job for a novice, as the belt must be exactly right to avoid engine damage. Replacement takes several hours labor for a good mechanic.

ODBII Code P0300 on a 2005 Corrolla Hard cold start P0171 Code after engine warms up.

Hello. The P-0300 indicates a multi-cylinder misfire. The P-0171 code indicates a dirty Mass Air Flow sensor.

Remve the MAF from the intake tube, between the air filter box, and the throttle body. Inspect the interior of it, look for 2 small wires. If they are dirty, or fuzzy, clean them by spraying brake cleaner on them, until they are clean. Don't use compressed air, you will damage the wires. After the sensor is cleaned, reinstall it and drive the car. The clean wires will then retransmit the correct airflow, and the computer will re-learn the correct values.
