How can I stop my 1997 Cadillac Eldorado from running hot

The solution is more than likely a new blower motor. Replacing this blower motor is no small task. I am in the process of doing it, but there is so little wiggle room that I suspect that if a cadillac mechanic does this job, they will jack up the engine/transaxle to make room. The motor itself is not cheap either, a replacement Delco is well over $200. I will let you know if my new motor install works.

i would recommend you go to your local auto supply store, and pick up a auto repair manual put out by Haynes, around $20, it is very helpful for a lot of things u can do your self. you know the old saying, a picture is worth a thousand words! good luck to u..

Have you unhooked the battery since you put the freon in? If not, do it.

remove ac vents with flat head screwdriver . thair should be a 7mm bolt in each vent holding tha dash pad on remove them. remove the trim going to head liner from the dash pad. use a 7mm to remove the bolts holding the cluser in place should be one each side and 3 across the back . disconnect the wiring harness and your done. also disconnect the negative batery cable when doing this
