No it will not. if the engine light is on check for codes this will help to know which direction to start diagnosing. a weak battery will usually show up on a no start condition. I am guessing the engine light that comes on is the check engine one.

2001 VW beetle sport 1.8 L manual trans. AWV ENGINE

first off P2 codes are factory codes so googling those gets lies easy. only the shop manual VW is the right way and it even tells you step by step how to prove what is wrong, (tests)
country not told , engine yes, VW yes ,body yes. stick shift yes.
USA answers this web site no COUNTRY stated so must be told.
yes TBW cars the TB and pedal pots all must match or it goes to limphome, like all modern cars do i fact.
from the book (USA)it states clearly this.

Number of Trips to Set Code: 1
Trouble Code Conditions:
Engine started, battery voltage at least 11.5v, all electrical components off, ground connections between engine and chassis well connected, the ECM detected that the accelerator pedal position sensor signal was outside the parameters to function normally. Note: Both the Throttle Position (TP) Sensor and Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor are located at the accelerator pedal module and communicate the driver's intentions to the ECM completely independently of each other. Both sensors are stored in one housing.
Possible Causes:
  • * Ground between engine and chassis may be broken
  • * Throttle position sensor may have failed
  • * Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor has failed
  • * Throttle position sensor wiring may have shorted
  • * Throttle position sensor has failed
  • * Faulty voltage supply
  • * ECM has failed <<<<(nah I say)
Trouble Code: P2128 (1.8L L4 VIN - Std)
Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 'E' Circuit High Input

now learn this on TBW, throttle by wire,
you must do a learn cycle to swap parts for sure not willlyynillyyy
the TB and the pedal modules are married and turned
to like each other, and learm mode step is next. changing many parts, for sure all that guessing and throwing parts are hopeless.
Throttle Valve Control Module J338 Throttle Drive (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)) G186/Throttle Drive Angle Sensor 1 (for throttle drive) G187/Throttle Drive Angle Sensor 2 (for throttle drive). G188 6-pin electrical harness connector 2.
those are the parts.
I see no learn mode.
Final procedures

After the Repair work, the following work steps must be performed in the following sequence:

Check the DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory.
If necessary, erase the DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory.
If the DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code. Refer to Readiness Code.

End of diagnosis.
the tests in them manual are long for both devices TB/pedal

reset All DTC errors at parts swaps and
key off
then pull battery NEG log for 1 or more hours.
then put back and tranny will self learn
and any others, told in the service manual

Next time ask what to do first, on modern cars.
Id have swapped the pedal parts all first.
reset all DTC
and pulled battery neg lug.
and waited, and put back battery and drive so PCM can learn the new PEDAL values, and also the TB (paired to it)
if that is too costly?
the manual shows the tests on each pint here Pedal and voltages and ohms to find the exact cause of the error, if lucky
do learn this, most go intermittence, and super hard to prove that.
best is replace the pedal POTS in whole.
if TB fails it too in whole and never buy used parts here.
cardone1 may have it but great quality rebuilt.

My 2005 chevy equinox has codes P1791 P0700 P1125 P2138

These codes appear to relate to your throttle poistion sensor(s) - check your throttle cable linkages and in particular the position sensor on the throttle body.

Hello My lincoln mkx 2011 stops when i hit the gas and message awd off can not drive up to 50km/hr i had also message check inlet full anny suggestion please?

Sounds like it's in limp mode . Is the check engine light on , or a yellow wrench symbol ? could be a problem with electronic throttle control . Have a scan tool hooked up an checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Your gas pedal has sensors inside that wear out , also throttle position sensors inside the throttle body ,this sensors are inputs to the PCM - engine computer .

Flash computer 2010 chevy equinox Abs, traction control, ck engine lights all come on. Vehicle goes into "safe" mode Drives at about 5 mph until I turn off & restart after 5 mins

Probably caused by the electronic throttle control . How many miles on the vehicle ? The gas pedal has position sensors that the PCM - engine computer uses to know how much to open the throttle plate .

What engine ?
The throttle actuator control (TAC) system is used to improve emissions, fuel economy, and driveability. The TAC system eliminates the mechanical link between the accelerator pedal and the throttle plate. The TAC system eliminates the need for a cruise control module and idle air control motor. The following is a list of TAC system components:
• The accelerator pedal assembly includes the following components:
- The accelerator pedal
- The accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1
- The APP sensor 2
• The throttle body assembly includes the following components:
- The throttle position (TP) sensor 1
- The TP sensor 2
- The throttle actuator motor
- The throttle plate
• The engine control module (ECM)

Po 122 problem light on had changed sensor problem not fixed trans not shifting right horrible jurks when it shifts.

P0122 is TPS signal low, which could mean you have a bad TPS, or a fault in the wiring or connector. I suspect a bad Throttle Position Sensor.

Gm code p2120

Code p2120 is accelerator pedal position sensor APP sensor 1 circuit apparently this is known as the reduced engine power syndrome and is quite common on the avalanche. There is no mechanical linkage from gas pedal to throttle body and it is quite common for the throttle position sensor located on throttle body to mess up and throw this code and also for one of the wires to the throttle position sensor to get hot become brittle and sometimes break. I would start there

2007 chevy tahoe loses power

No messaage of reduced engine power ? Your vehicle has electronic throttle control . Has four position sensors , two are located in the gas pedal ,an two in the throttle body . The PCM uses these sensor to know how much to open the throttle plate ,allowing more air into the engine . How did you read this code an where did you read it's definition at ? This is not a code for your vehicle . Some time cheap code readers get them wrong .

Reduced Engine Power Mode
When the ECM detects a condition with the TAC system, the ECM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
• Acceleration limiting--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.
• Limited throttle mode--The ECM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.
• Throttle default mode--The ECM will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.
• Forced idle mode--The ECM will perform the following actions:
- Limit engine speed to idle by positioning the throttle position, or by controlling the fuel and spark if the throttle is turned off.
- Ignore the accelerator pedal input.
• Engine shutdown mode--The ECM will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

01 camaro drive by wire reduced engine speed

This is what I find from other webpost..

Condition:
Some customers may comment on an MIL/SES light Illuminated with the" Reduced Engine Power" message or indicator displayed. A technician may find two or more of the following DTCs stored in the ECM:

P060E : Control Module Throttle Position (TP) System Performance

P1516 : Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance

P2135 : Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

P2138 : Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

Cause:
A battery voltage drop during the cranking cycle may cause the codes to set and place the vehicle into the reduce engine power mode.

Correction:
Test and charge the battery using the steps below.

Important: A low voltage condition may cause at least two of the following DTCs to set.

P060E : Control Module Throttle Position (TP) System Performance

P1516 : Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance

P2135 : Throttle Position (TP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

P2138 : Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor 1-2 Correlation

Perform a Diagnostic System Check. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in SI.
Check for DTCs and review the Freeze Frame/Failure Records to determine if sufficient ignition voltage was present when the DTC set.
- If the ignition voltage was low, then check for a possible battery drain. Refer to Battery Electrical Drain/Parasitic Load Test.

- If the ignition voltage was sufficient when the code set, proceed with normal SI diagnosis for the code(s) set.

Test and recharge the battery using Bulletin 02-06-03-009 or latest version on "Battery Charging Tips'.
Clear all DTCs.
