3.0 d4d fortuner not stating,it gives me p1604 fault code

Question edited for a lot more clarity. Never heard of a Toyota Fortuner before. In North America where we are, we call it cranking, but know the African continent is called swings.

For the gear lever shaking check the engine and transmission rubber mounting blocks. They can part from the metal mounts.

The engine is a 3 litre turbo diesel, so it probably just needs a good service, check compression, check glow plugs and injectors.

For a Toyota, it indicates a startability problem, it is a very vague diagnostic troubleshoot code and therefore not component specific.

Components to check, Crank Shaft Position sensor, Spark Plugs, MAF sensor, fuel pump... etc.

code p1604 refers to starting system --malfunction===causes--wiring---connections--vacuum leaks--MAF sensor--ignition system--engine coolant temperature sensor--fuel supply system--throttle body--variable valve timing system---A/C system--- power steering control control--- ECM
Try to think back to the symptoms before the engine failed to start
were you in snow, did it get hot, was it lagging in high rpms,
did it just stop or was it misfiring
each symptom will point to an item in the list of causes.
